Theoretically, if you don't cut the cake and eat the entire thing with a fork, it IS "one piece". (Just kidding)

I prefer the more blunt terminology for foods. It removes the guess work and tends to make less ideal food choices less acceptable. Rather than say "That food may not be ideal for assisting you in reaching your health goals in a timely manner." I say "If I eat this crap my arteries will harden like granite and my buttocks…

I have had online acquaintances who have gone through this and they use the gym as an outlet to blow off steam and they get fit and fab to show the "Butthead" what they lost. Kind of fickle but it helped them to put it behind them. It was better than turning to tubs of ice cream. This journey is about you and you being…

Great value (Walmart brand) 90 Calorie Chewy Granola Bars. Chocolate chunk. Loaded with chocolate but only 90 cals each. You could probably have like 2 or 3 if you budget for them. Or Rocky Road Brownies 190 cals each. Here is the web page. http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/rocky_road_brownies.html

I want to lose 60-70 lbs but it seems impossible, so pound a week, 2 pounds a week, pass on the chips, put the salad dressing on the side and dip my fork into it and eat salad that way, skip the soda this meal, 2 quarts of water a day for a week, and…

I could use a mentor. I am 43, 5'7" and currently weigh 231 lbs. I would love to get back down to 165-175. I have bought 38" waist pants and have drawn a line in the sand, no more new clothes unless they are smaller. The exercising thing I have a basic understanding of but I get killed in the kitchen. Diet is my weak point.

Getting back to looking lean and fit. As well as a $200 gift card. If you could change one thing about your life, what would it be?

Welcome. You can do this.

Not yet. I am gonna try to downsize the junk food in the house. I can't get rid of it because the wife and kiddo eat it as well. Care to team up and try to form a small group of like minded people to keep us going? If so send me a request.

Hey Lauren, how are your clothes fitting? I know odd question but I have done this before and I hit a point where my weight had stopped changing, come to find out it was being replaced with muscle. My pants were getting looser but the scale barely flinched. You may be doing a one for one swap. Maybe take some measurements…
