I think you should do what you want for yourself first. Lose the weight if you want to! It sounds like he has insecurity issues based on his previous relationship. Be healthy and treat yourself well first!

I'm having surgery in 2 weeks as well! My healing time before I should be doing exercise is only 3 weeks though. In this time I just plan to eat as healthfully as I can and watch my calories.

I never had cellulite till my last year of college due to weight gain. I'm 145lbs now, but at 135lbs my cellulite totally disappears. I only have it on my butt and upper back of my thighs, but it really is depressing and sucks! I feel your pain ladies!

I'm similar. My left thigh is 24" and my right one is 24.5". This has been pretty consistent (a small difference) between the two for a while now.

Hey Emma, sounds like you've been through a lot! Welcome to the forums and good luck with your goals!

Thanks! :) I should probably edit my initial post. My goal was never to have model-thin legs, but I was just using those as an extreme example of what I'm not.

I'd suggest weight training, running, and drinking lots of water! I was starting to get slightly bumpy on my bum/back of my thighs and losing just 5lbs with the aforementioned really, really helped!

So true! My pants always feel tight on my thighs, but loose around my waist. :(

I guess 23" isn't really crazy large, but like another poster said I don't ever recall a time when my thighs didn't touch together. Oh well! I'm def going to try running to tone/shape myself. :) I don't expect to ever have stick skinny legs (not that I really want that), but more like runner's toned legs. :)

^ This. I feel the same way.

My thighs are 22-23". That's def my hardest area to lose inches. I have big thunder thighs!

That's awesome! Breaking each 10lb barrier rocks. I remember dropping from the 140s to 130s last summer. Felt so very good!

Mine is currently 29". I don't recall what it was when I was 120lbs (my lightest), but I think it was around 25"-26".

I'm 5'3" and 1/2! :) My goal weight is 120lbs, but my ultimate goal once I get in real lean, mean shape is 115lbs. I have wide hips too, but slender wrists/ankles so I think I'm medium bone wise.

Yup, I used to weigh in every morning. I used it to keep myself in check! If I was doing my diet right I'd be losing 0.2lbs consistently (I had a scale with the tenths places to pounds). If I saw I didn't lose 99% of the time it was because I cheated on calories the day before! Great way to keep myself from cheating.…

I'm just under 5'4" and my goal weight is 120lbs. I wouldn't mind pushing for 115lbs, but if I can hit 120, I'd be happy. I looked my best then.

I have multiple goals! My first goal weight is my pre-college weight of 125lbs. I look great at that weight. My second fitness goal weight is 120lbs, which would be the thinnest I could go and still be healthy body fat percentage wise. I want to get in the best shape of my life. My goal is to be able to run 10 miles as…
