I'm 5'4"! - what kind of build are you? (medium) - how much do you currently weigh and what size pants on average do you wear? ~153lbs, pants size 6/8(USA) though size 10 for "standard" European/dress size (American sizes are "vanity" sized) - what is your goal weight and why? Goal: 120lbs. That's where I looked/felt…

This is awesome! Congrats! You're doing awesome things for your body!

Bump!

Insanity will get you into better shape. It's a lot higher intensity than Jillian's 30DS. That being said it also can take a toll on your knees and ankles, so if you have weaknesses in them it might be better to start with 30DS.
-
I agree you shouldn't be in this much pain! I have bad knees so I'm wearing knee braces while I do Insanity and it has helped a ton. My ankles are also sore from doing Insanity, so I think the jumping, jumping, jumping is the culprit! Have you considered ankle braces? I might invest in some.

I beg to differ. I have severe IBS and wouldn't ..ehem, go.. for up to a week at a time (& feel terrible when I did go) before starting to take a Benefiber or two a day. After starting it took a week or two but I am 100% normal and an "everyday goer" now. I didn't change anything else: diet, exercise, etc. So it's 100%…

I eat 1600-1700 calories a day (or try to). I burn 400 calories a day exercising, but I don't eat back my calories so my net is 1200-1300 calories/day. I'm female and 24.

Yeah I wouldn't worry. Even if your scale at home is "wrong" it will always be "wrong" by the same amount. So, if at home your scale says "150lbs" but in reality you are "155lbs" it doesn't matter because if your scale said you lost 13lbs, you lost 13lbs (your scale's just offset by a few pounds). You were also clothed and…

That's great! Keep up the good work.

Haha, I'm half Korean so 5'4" for me is a very "tall" height! :)
-
5'3".5 with 34lbs to lose! I just started the Insanity workout this Monday and I'm feeling motivated! :) Let's do it!
-
Hm, I don't know if that makes sense. I'm 64" so my "healthy" waist size should be 32". I'm currently at 31", but I'm also 30lbs overweight and my BMI is in the "overweight" category. o_o This seems wrong.
-
I used 3lb weights and was sore, but then again I was terribly out of shape. What other people suggested is a good idea - jump up to level 2 or 3!
-
This is super motivational! :) Thanks guys!

Do you not like Japanese food? I lived in Tokyo for 3 years, so I know it's not the same as where you are, but in general Japanese food was really, really healthy.
-
Holy cow you look awesome! Congrats
-
I always do it first thing in the AM without clothes because different clothing can make a +/- 2lb difference which is a lot for me.
-
I lose inches first as well and then weight later. I think because I'm building muscle first and then when muscle growth stalls the weight drops due to the fat loss.
-
Sure I'd love to participate! I started 3 days ago. Here are my starting stats: Height: 5'4" Weight: 148.6lb Arm: 11" Waist: 31" Hips: 39" Thigh: 24" / 24.5" I'll update halfway and at the end!
-
Size 4 US size, so I think that fits 34" bust, 27" waist, 36-37" hips?
-
I'm tossing in my vote for Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred as well. It kicks your butt really well!
-
I have to agree with the others about the misconcption about Marlyn Monroe's clothing size. She was a size 14 in the standards of the day, but today she'd fit in a size 6-8 due to "vanity sizing" so saying MM's a "size 14 and a sex icon" is an incorrect statement. It should be she was a sex icon and a size 6-8!
-
Oh wow, that's AMAZING! You look so much different and so awesome now! :D Keep it up!
-
Thanks for the replies! For those of you who do run and saw results, what frequency/intensity do you guys run? (i.e. how many times do you run per week and for what distance)
-
Our weight loss plan is almost exactly the same! I'm 145-146lbs now and want to get down to 120lbs!
-
Good luck getting fit for your wedding! I added you.
-
I actually started last week! :) So I'll be joining!
-
I'll try drinking more water + waiting for my tummy to shrink! I just hate knowing that if I'm going to bed feeling satiated that the scale isn't going to budge. (>__<); Ugh!
-
Very cool! I've added you guys! :) Woohoo weight loss!
-
I actually am one of the lucky ones who doesn't retain water during that time of the month! My weight fluxuates very little.
