I agree. Typically a good idea to stay away from added sugars. The best kinds of snacks for me are the ones that don't come in wrappers! This means fruits and nuts!

And you would be correct. Nuts are high in mono and polyunsaturated fats.

A 1500 calorie diet is a good amount to eat if you're looking to lose weight, but what do those 1500 calories consist of? Try cutting things out that have added sugar (high fructose corn syrup, sucrose, dextrose) and try eating your goal weight in grams of protein. Also, see if you can limit your carb intake to only fruits…

The goals on MFP are meant to be met without exceeding.

For a good low sodium meal, I like to go with a mixed fruit protein smoothie. GNC Gold Standard Whey Strawberry flavored protein with orange, pineapple, banana, and 1/4 cup Dannon Low Fat Vanilla Yogurt. De-lish!

As far as quality of taste is concerned, I definitely recommend Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60 from GNC. Just about every flavor (minus Vanilla) tastes great. It says you can mix it with water, but my favorite combination is Fruit Punch or Strawberry mixed with 12 ounces of Dole Banana Orange Pineapple Juice.
