I'm not trying to be rude, but this book is in no way a proper source of information and should therefore not be recommended to anybody unless they look for an opinion rather than information. The story of one (dubious) person is not representative.

I really don't get all the silly responses, so not funny, sorry. Of course you can change the shape of your muscle to some extent, why shouldn't this be possible? I personally achieved longer and leaner muscles through practicing yoga and stretching. It is a very different type of excercise than "typical" strength training…

I've been following a vegan lifestyle for almost a year now and I also had problems with my protein intake at first. Now I always take care that I eat something high in protein with every meal. Lentils, beans, tofu, tempeh, soy yoghurt, quinoa, whole grain bread and also some vegetarian spreads are high in protein. It's…

@nicolared1: I can imagine how hard that was! I love tofu too, but I don't want to incorporate too many soy products into my diet. Don' t think permanent low-carbing is really healthy on a vegan diet. @veganbettie and @ganjafitness: Nice to know that I'm not the only one! :)

Bumping this thread as I realised that I am probably waaay under the sodium intake mfp suggests (2300 mg). Today, I've not even consumed 400 mg of sodium, and I know that it won't be much more on other days. I almost never add salt to anything and I don't consume fast food/ready meals which are usually quite high in…
