Thank you, ma’am

@Sunny_Bunny_ thank you for the confirmation of the diuretic nature of the diet and that, while my guess on the reason was wrong, it was in the right direction. i initially had been adding salt to my water; but decided to jump the gun and go straight to taking it straight, with a water chaser, as you had mentioned on…

i don't blame you for not drinking that much :) thank you for your comment that you have seen a similar phenomenon

SW (10'13): 388 (lost 133 lbs by 10'14) SW (10'18): 368 GW (Oct): 268 (with two birthdays this month, I will be happy to hit the 100lb mark at "only" 10 lbs down this month) GW: 194 - 225 (not sure if I can be healthy or maintain at 194…but would be fun to say I lost half of myself. at least for a little bit and then…

@sykin are the shirataki noodles worth the work to cook? i picked some up to try and haven't yet because it looks like the instructions would make it obvious i am eating different than the rest of the family. (it could be i am over-thinking this, as is my wont, but they seem more involved than standard pasta noodles)…

Thank you!

@gwendyprism that sounds awesome! can you post the link or PM me with it, please? that sounds like something i may have to take advantage of as well

I haven't; but like @chinatowninchina, I would expect the benefits to come in after sticking to it for a while. It is possible that there may be some weight gain as you switch to more food and learning the types of fat that work for you; but overall, the positive impact I expect will outweigh the initial shock

@Everyonelies :'( i get that feeling (of not being hungry but still needing to eat) hopefully your appetite/body decides to cooperate this week (or at least sooner than later) so you can continue to be successful

:’( You are welcome If it makes you feel any better, I gained 7 lbs from my compulsive weigh-in yesterday to today (when I actually record for personal & challenge reasons) I wish I knew what I was doing on Sunday’s that I generally gain 4-7 lbs overnight (which is part of the reason I keep my updates on the challenge to…

thank you, ma'am

@eggfooyamyam thank you for the mug cake recipe (apologies on the tardiness of my reply) for the almond flour/coconut flour mixture, do you shake it (or do some other form of increasing the chance that as you scoop out the flour that you keep that ratio)?

@Everyonelies sorry to hear about the disappointment; but sounds like you have had a rough week (due to other issues not related to eating patterns). As mentioned earlier, a pound is a pound. hopefully you feel better this week
-
@Sunny_Bunny_ thank you for the head's up/alert on the food salting being insufficient. if you don't mind sharing, do you prefer to eat it straight or mix it into water (or another beverage)?

I can't comment on dress sizes, may be different, but I haven't seen a change in my pants size until at least every 25 - 30 lbs. 4 years ago, after 130 lbs lost, I was only down 2 pants sizes. while on keto, i am seeing results on the tape measure and pants sizes after only 2 months (which looks to be a better gauge of…

I know it happens; but as others have said, there is no way to know what your experience will be until you hit that point. I have lost over 100 lbs twice now in a year (once 5 years ago; the second now...well, almost twice. the scale had me at 98 lbs lost this morning and my year mark is Halloween). i _personally_ haven't…

@p1nks0da: congrats on the wedding & hope all goes well! @Everyonelies: :'( sometimes that is hard to hit. when you refer to "required ones" are you talking about the minimum guidance for all people OR in MFP?

Thank you

thank you, both, for your thoughts. that will make recipes easier (at least when they are mostly meat-based with spice added for flavor)

nice job @Everyonelies (sorry to hear about feeling icky with monthly ick. hopefully it gets better) my guess is that as long as you are near your calorie goal, you should be fine to be healthy/safe on a few days of missing. and being in ketosis is always a positive
-
@eggfooyamyam i am jealous of your mad baking skills. i wish i could do that (though, like you, it would probably not be good for me in the staying off carb goal). as a side, am i reading your post correctly that you have been able to bake keto/keto-esque cakes? if yes, has that helped curb the sugar/cake craving? (unless…

@fatsork, i am _guessing_ that @kpk54 was referring to the difference in use between the two, rather than the concern with insulin spikes. the erythritol will make the chocolate sweet; in a recipe that calls for unsweetened chocolate, there may be other sweeteners in place in the recipe. if you are sensitive to sweets,…

you are welcome; good luck!

@Everyonelies you may try upping the egg count (if you can) to see if that helps. I have seen the hunger wait longer when I do 3 or 4 eggs rather than 2. the other thing that has helped me is to have an energy bite (née fat bomb) or other type of safe snack available between breakfast and lunch. it helps curb the craving…

I would second (or third, or nth) the need for more protein. It can help with satiation (as well as the fats); but it can't hurt to help avoid muscle loss. I am glad to see I am not the only one hitting 1 gal+ daily (which I am sure does not help our daily weigh-ins…stupid OCD [if you don't feel that way about yours,…
