thank you, both @jogetsgains what type of craving do you get, as far as you can tell, when you need salt?
-
@Everyonelies I am impressed that you can make it to the gym that early 7 lbs in a week is very cool; definitely stick it out. Sounds like you may be one of the unfortunate ones who experience keto flu as the glucose is flushed out. while you should keep on eye on it to make sure it does not remain, as that is unhealthy,…

Thank you

Thank you for the insight I’ve been trying to figure out how to up my protein with minimal uptake on fat or carbs. Do you mind sharing what types of things you do?

@PaulaKro: I am sorry to hear about your mom :'(

SW (10'13): 388 (lost 133 lbs by 10'14) SW (10'18): 368 GW (Oct): 268 (with two birthdays this month, I will be happy to hit my 100lb mark) GW: 194 - 225 (not sure if I can be healthy or maintain at 194…but would be fun to say I lost half of myself. at least for a little bit and then maintain at a slightly higher weight)…

I don’t know about anyone else, but I will be interested to see how I do with back to back measurements on the shared board (sept 30-oct 1)....my usual weigh day is Monday; though I have been checking in Sundays too...and Sunday is usually better than Monday :( ... but that’s what I get for drinking 1.5-2.0 gal water on…

Wow. Bad week for Keto topped off by an extra bad day. I knew yesterday would be bad when I smelled the pumpkin chocolate chip bread. But near-zero carbs in other things I ate (not that that matters when I ate 1/2 the loaf myself). Though it was nice to feel full for the first time this week. Which was odd since I haven't…

@WholeFoods4Lyfe when you refer to the healing phase, do you mean specific to recovery from illness _or_ the general move from glucose-burning to fat-burning?
-
Strawberries as well Blueberries? Not so much (found that the hard way)

@sykin I use 7 (Seven) currently. It's a HIIT-based app that runs through 12 exercises (give or take, depending on what the focus is) for 20-30s each; you can also do more than one 7-minute circuit if desired. They provide a free workout everyday that cycles through the 200 or so they have.

Thank you for taking time to reply; yes, I meant 50g carbs. I could probably go higher than I am now (7 - 20g); but I also know those are my trigger foods and I am not yet ready to test my self-control when I am trying to watch how I eat (there are times I will choose to ignore it, like at the fair last month or next month…
-
@tcunbeliever is that 50g after fat adaptation or as part of the process? (at least as far as your experience goes)? And thank you for the higher number...looking forward to getting back that high :)

Another week of Sunday being lower than Monday :'( but still a loss for the week; i'll take it :)

congrats! Glad to hear she is understanding, as well

Though, on the plus…

Does that mean, theoretically, it’s possible to (more-readily) slip between the two metabolic states for when life happens and carbs are high and when it is easier to avoid high carb intake? That is the impression I’ve had as I’ve been reading and trialing Keto to see if I can stick it out for at least another 5 months
-
And, hopefully, we can plan for it 😇 I only started last month and didn’t realize the impact carbs had on daily life (at least for me; I figured that was due to my weight or not enough protein) when it came to the carb crash/hypoglycemic response. Oops But now I know, at least during holidays or birthday celebrations, eat…

Sweet; thank you!

@imlightning what did you use for a sugar agent on the whipped cream? or did you forego that? (and if yes, did it whip up ok?)
-
:'( Hope it gets better (both the GI hate as well as the reason for the stress)

Currently? I’m trying strawberries or blackberries doused in stevia (hoping it eventually becomes sweet) I’m looking to try some bounty, almond joy, and peanut butter cup fat bombs soon too I’ve had the tangential-ish problem of craving sweets forever (still haven’t found anything too sweet nor a way to sate my sweet teeth…

:p Glad it is better; sorry to hear they died with unfortunate cancer experiences (and you, as the survivor worse).
-
@kpk54: condolences (hope things are getting better)
-
Thank you, @kpk54. I apologize for not being clear and implying that the salami & cheese were the cause of the crash; it was the fried dough I ate (slathered in honey butter) earlier in the day (and insufficient hydration, as you pointed out). I was referring to loading up on salami & cheese slices as cheating as a way to…

Thank you, @rsclause & @PaulaKro I think I may have hit that point on mouth taste.
