Looks like I will have to start logging again :( The good news is that my most recent snack-that-shouldn’t-be no longer tastes good. I am_hoping_ that means I got whatever I was needing from it (even though I have no idea which nutrient I was missing out on). I have been trying to not track and see if I can keep it up and,…

you want to want sugar but can't bring yourself to pick up the can of frosting because you know it will hurt in the morning. (or overnight with acid reflux & gerd/heartburn)

congrats to you both! @Everyonelies very much does it feel like cheating for me as well (and has since i started). i don't know that i have ever felt this good while actually being full (and not overfull as i would frequently do previously). @qweck3 thank you for sharing all your data and insight

March didn't go so well…and finally getting around to noting just how bad. I think I know what caused it, and i knew i had been taking too many liberties with snacking associated with exercising…i just didn't know how bad it was. i don't have access to a scale; so here are the numbers I _can_ measure: waist: 48 (up 1.75")…

thank you so much!

thank you all for your thoughts & help
-
@tcunbeliever that sounds awesome! (you wouldn't happen to have a shareable link somewhere hiding, would you?)
-
happy belated birthday @KristinLeeD hope things get better on the home front to allow things to settle down for tracking and keeping the carbs low and the fat/protein high (depending on your needs)
-
Thank you for the tip, @nvmomketo

you are welcome, @m1kk1 good luck! hope it works for your snacking

if i figure it out, i will help i am not sure what i did that triggered me…i actually did ok through the holidays and even having cinnabons in the house for a week but since about mid-jan, i just keep wanting all the sugars. i keep telling myself i won't eat the peanut butter at night as a snack (with the jelly. and…

what @baconslave said and some of this is based on your n=1 and if you feel better/worse when you eat it.

@m1kk1 they tend to be in the frozen breakfast section next to the sausage patties (at least the Walmarts here)

Closing out the month: still no access to a scale (as forecast)...not only did i see a small loss, i was able to lose some of what i gained in january. 1 Feb 19: waist: 47.3/hips: 46.5/thigh:28 28 Feb 19: waist: 46.25/hips: 45.25/thighs: 28
-
Still no access to a scale; so here are my numbers for starting the month; more at the end: waist: 46.25 hips: 45.25 thighs: 28 looks to be about 0.5" from both waist & hips (probably why my test pants can be snapped without feeling like i am going to break them. not fully wearable yet; but progress is progress).

@fatsork and @2t9nty i think that makes me even more happy that i do not dream (or at least not that i can remember)
-
i think it is up to you. i have never been a breakfast/morning eater. while i will eat breakfast foods, i prefer them later in the day (just as @ccrdragon)

i can't comment on this from a light sleeper point of view, but from one that makes the dead look alive, keto has helped me do better about waking up. it has been harder for me to fight my circadian rhythm (night owl); but when i win, i am able to get up much easier. (still actually a log while asleep; but recover faster.…

^^^ +1 an excuse to avoid veggies!!! (though, i am sure that is not why many are doing it)

@Trixi510 depends on where you are going. if you are going to a place that has hamburgers, order without the bun (and other condiments that are carb-heavy, depending on your macro goal for the day); if it has steak, eat steak :); if it is burritos, ask for it in a bowl/no tortilla shell. avoid fried foods (:'(). look at…

still no access to a scale (as forecast)...let's see if February goes better than Jan 1 Feb 19: waist: 47.3/hips: 46.5/thigh:28 I won't post weekly since this change is much slower; but my goal is to have the confidence to post profile pics (at some point) since Aug showing some change

still no access to a scale (as forecast)...and did even worse than i thought 2 Jan 19: waist: 47/hips: 46.5/thigh: 28.3 1 Feb 19: waist: 47.3/hips: 46.5/thigh:28 so despite increase in waist & hips, and/or not knowing exactly how to measure, I now can zip, button, and be nearly comfortable in the second pair of jeans i…
