I generally don't count calories but maybe 1-2 times a week. I just like to see where I am at. I know I've been doing everything right seeing as I've been losing inches consistently. But I do measure my food and control my portions. Guess it just took a while for my body to catch up. @13tea - That is a long time to be on a…

I weigh myself daily too. Well, I just went back to weighing myself daily. Yesterday it was on the low end of my plateau, and it had been. So I had a good feeling it was coming soon! So glad it did! And congrats on your losses! :)
-
I feel the same way! Those low numbers are all mine! And thank you all!
-
You're welcome. I felt the same way! even a small amount would have made me happy. I'm just glad it finally happened. I hope it happens for you soon!

Oh okay. Well, it was more of a general statement anyway. :) Just follow the programs and start at a point where it is challenging to you, but you are able to complete the workouts. @ StephanieHuns. I may have to look into YAYOG. Thanks for sharing that! @meshashesha20 Haha. Yeah. I can see what you're saying. I just think…

You can do bodyweight compound movements such as push-ups, chair dips, pull-ups (or pull-up negatives if you aren't strong enough to do pull-ups yet), squats, planks, and sit-ups/crunches. I do most of these at home (working on fitting core and legs into my workouts). There are apps that you can get for some of these, or…

Good for you! Yeah, the first two weeks you'll see big losses, but it will definitely slow down after that. My first week I lost about 5 lbs. I'm 3 months into my journey, and was stuck in a plateau for 2-3 weeks, but it just broke this morning! I was super happy. You'll eventually hit a plateau, but don't fret. Just keep…

You're welcome!

Girl, that's awesome!! Good for you! And yeah, yay for us! Haha

Just keep doing what you're doing and eventually the weight will come off. I was stuck in a weight plateau for 2-3 weeks and it just broke this morning. Granted, I had consistently been losing inches during this time. Have you been taking measurements? Sometimes the biggest and best results are seen from loss in inches and…

190 lbs. Can't wait to get down to my goal weight so I look even better. :)

This. It was yummy. :)

I would check multiple sources for your TDEE and average them together. So if 2280 is your TDEE, 20% of that is about 450 calories. Subtract that from your TDEE and that would give you 1830 NET calories. So if you eat 1830 calories and exercise to burn below that, I would eat your exercise calories back. Your BMR is about…

I buy Chobani plain greek yogurt. Granted, it is non-fat, it doesn't have a bunch of crap in it. And it has 23 g of protein per serving! Since plain yogurt tastes pretty icky by itself, I tend to put it in a small blender or food processor with some fresh fruit (strawberries, bananas, blueberries) and just mix it all…

Holy crap woman, you look amazing! You can see major results in your core. Keep up the good work!

Thank you all! And socajam, I hope June will be kind to you too :)

Thank you!!! It's definitely worth it. Every bit of it. It may not seem like that big of a deal to some people, but to me, I cannot even begin to describe how stoked I am! :')

This is a great, informative post. Thanks for sharing. I myself do not really count calories on an everyday basis. If I do, it's just because I like to see where I am at and how I'm doing with it. I generally eat whole foods with little to no processed foods, but I like to indulge every once in a while. Actually, I pretty…

If you're having trouble with knee push-ups, you can do them against a wall. That's a step back from knee push-ups. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RtM3L00BUU <--- here's a video that shows you how to do them. Once you build up enough strength, then you can move up to knee push-ups. I have an app that I have on my iPhone…

Awesome job! You look great!

Oh, I see. Well that makes sense. I don't drink that often. But when I do, I put it down. Lol. I may drink like once or twice a month. So I guess that's my only weakness. And yeah, I may have to get that checked out, now that you mention it. But it is a pretty good incentive for sure! Good luck to you on finding the right…

Holy crap, that is EPIC!

Something I designed myself. I was a music major for several years and music was a part of my life for 14 years. After switching my focus on art, I decided to get this as a memory of that part of my life. It means "music comes from the heart".

I can understand why some people cut out bread all together because a lot of bread turns into sugar once it hits your stomach. If they're like me, bread makes your stomach blow up like a balloon. I feel bloated after eating bread. I probably have a gluten intolerance and don't know it.. But anyway, some people here have…

LOL that is hilarious. You are awesome. I am sending a friend request your way, if you don't mind. :)

I used to feel the way you are. Though I haven't met my goal weight yet, I've lost a bit of weight, enough for people to notice. Granted, I've kinda learned within the past couple of months that people can be debbie downers. I've learned to not let other people affect me, my goals, and my feelings (though it can be hard at…

Like everyone else has said, don't stop! Keep going, especially since you enjoy it! I run too. I just finished week 6 day 3. My average pace for today was a 12-13 min mile, 2.81 miles total. But that's also due to the periods of walking, and the fact my dogs slow me down a bit (which shouldn't be an issue but it is!) So…

First, I would like to say congrats on your losses! I used to weigh myself everyday. I think it held me more accountable. I stopped weighing myself for about two weeks cause I know I've hit a weight plateau, even though I have been losing inches. I'm sure my body has been retaining water due to my workouts/strength…

Yes, that is normal and can happen. Especially if you eat and drink a lot. Did you weigh yourself after your dinner and snacks? Remember, the scale measures fat, muscle, water, food, bones, and organs.

I don't understand why people freak out when they have one off day - this is generally speaking. So you ate half a cheesecake. So what? Don't stress out about it. The more stress you are under, the more likely you will keep your weight on, or gain weight, and won't be able to lose weight.. I agree with staying away from…
