OMG, that is FANTASTIC!!!!! great work, keep it up :flowerforyou: edit: ps. makes me really feel like a pansey haha, I think I might try giving the actual running a try on the treadmill (oh how I hate the feeling of my fat after its been jiggling up and down for any period of time - tend to do the eliptical )
-
first off, great job, keep up the hard work.....lost of chest exercises (cable's) can take care of that,
-
every body is different, and it all boils down to calories in and calories out....my rule of thumb is to exercise in a manor I would be willing to continue for the rest of my life, because if I were to reach my goal, and then stop exercising the weight will just go right back on. I would think it will take 3-5 days per…
-
maybe so, but the strength training is what is needed to keep that burn going all day.....its needed, no question about it
-
muscle burn more fat than cardio alone, another benefit is strength training will "tighten" you up as you are losing the weight. Please make sure that you are measuring yourself, chances are, when the scale doesnt move for a period of time, the tape measure is
-
so you burned 1100 or so cals and you ate back all but 364? That is fine, you will be losing, so long as the rest of your week is in check too....you will only not lose if you consistantly go over your cals on a daily basis. that 364 deficit added to your BMR is your burn for the day. you're on target, keep up the good work
-
I hope my kids think I'm a mean mom,,,,I strive for it every day
-
CONGRATS, keep up the good work
-
bump

muscle is much leaner and tighter, so while the scale may not necessarily move eventually, you will "look" much better....the only way to get that burn resting burn to last longer is to weight train.... How are you doing, its been a couple of weeks, what have you changed? You should be on the verge of noticing changes…
-
you would have to look at your calories for the week, instead of per day, so long as you dont go over for the week then you will still be on target for your goals that you have set up. if this is something that you have happen on a regular basis, you might want to look at zig zagging your calories, this is where you take…

I think MFP's suggestion is actually low, I'm almost positive we should be getting between 25-30 grams of fiber per day. Just remember to make sure your water is on target with this, otherwise it wont help keeping you "going"
-
squats, lunges, and 'butt blaster" exercises should be able to help target those cranky areas
-
yes, I did it for about 3 months along with the weight watchers points program (so to speak) and lost 16 lbs and was looking good, just needed to find the way to add in the weight training that I didnt have available to me. good luck and YES it is alot of fun.
-
sorry I dont know any answers,,,,prior to my hysterectomy last august, I used to lose 2 - 2 1/2 weeks per month from the gym if thats any consolation for you....so....it could be worse. good luck and just chug along

Happy Birthday and Great Job!!!! :flowerforyou:

yes, me too!!!! I seriously think i have self-image issues. I look back at a picture of me in my bikini from my honeymoon 7 years ago and I think "damn, what was I complaining about then, I'd give anything to get back there" I have that picture on my fridge as motivation and my bedroom mirror to keep me focused. I have…

Newfiedan, I love to see your posts and I'm so glad you share everything with us. (btw, with your help I've managed to lose another 3 lbs and 2 inches )
-
CONGRATS!!!! its so fantastic when you can "see/feel" the progress. so proud of you
-
yes, you should eat relatively soon after waking up,,,,try having protein, either in a shake (milk or water), or yogurt.....that way it will keep it light and you shouldnt feel over bloated, but will get your metabolism going until you can get something else in ya
-
as for the protein,,,,you should be coming close to 100g per day, especially if you are weight training too...we need that as women. as for the sodium,,,look at the individual foods that are high, and see where you can "tweek" your changes to lower that, and increase your water to also help compensate for the high sodium.…
