I believe, the sooner you incorporate the weight training, the less likely you will have sagging skin when you reach you goals....you really neeed to tone as you go , if not only to make sure that you dont burn your muscle instead of fat

I have read several times that those last few pounds can be the most difficult to get rid of, but reading your post, it seems you already know what you need to do, and you just want someone else to say, "yes, do this".....wellll.................... "YES, DO THAT" haha perhaps changing your cardio to interval, sometimes the…

I too only drink water all day long. I use and refill a large cup that holds 4 cups of water, and refill it several times per day, in addition my water bottle that I use while working out which is 24 oz and I consume 2 of those while working out. I would think that so long as you find yourself going to the bathroom and you…

I just checked a can of "sliced peaches in extra light syrup" serving size is 1/2 cup,,,,my guess is thats peaches, not the liquid. Ingredients : peaches, water, sugar (in that order), I would guess that if you were going to consume the liquid too, then you would measure 1/2 cup of liquid and consume roughly the same…

Intek Evolution Protein powder, it comes in a variety of flavors (I only use the cookies n cream) mix it with water, yogurt, milk, add fruit or have plain (doesnt change flavor of any yogurt either. I have a hard time consuming any flavored drink but this goes down really easy for me. 1 scoop 34g protein and 160 cals

you can try COMPLETE MASS 600 its a weight gainer that we use for our son, each scoop is 200 cals (use 3 for the full 600 obviously) with the 3 scoops protein I believe is 50g we get it at a nutritional store, "perfomance nutrition" but I know it can be found online, and I think the large jug is somewhere around $50 or so.

get rid of the junk food, bring in healthier snack options, will only be doing your children a favor in the long run, and then it can be a treat to go out and get. thats what I have to do,,,,,its so hard but we can do it

I'm impressed on the abs. wonder if I too will be able to get so lucky having more elasticity than I think I might have after 4 babies, (2 of which are only 18 mos apart) did a tune on the body but trying like heck to get it back great job in such a relatively short period of time

I believe that if we are in a position to need to lose weight, I'm not talking about 5 lbs here or there, but 15/20 or more than "not logging" is not an option....part of the process of logging everything is taking ownership for the choices that you have made....some fruits and veggies do have some calories and or sugars…

This is exactly what this site needs, cant stand for the "little johnny needs to be catered" people,,,,,WTG loved it. how do I find the blogs, cuz if this is what yours are like, then I wanna read from time to time

something that will satiate you and get your metabolism going. I googled "super foods" these are food that are supose to step up your metabolism and will keep you fuller longer,,,need to have a sensible snack ready too, sometimes I feel my body needs it. ie oatmeal, mini wheats snack : apple with skin, almonds with skin,…

and I am having a hard time getting past 180lbs on the squats. I am not sure if it is a mental block though have you tried max out sets? do one set for warm up,,,lighter than the 180 if thats the max you can do, then load the bar with more than that and do as many as you can, if you cant get the full reps out, when you…

I have a pictures of me in my bakini from my honeymoon, one hanging on the door of the fridge, and one hanging on the mirror in my bedroom, right where my eyes go,,,,I found them the end of Feb (2/26 to be exact) that monday was the first day I could start making it to the gym and I havent stopped yet,,,,its my motivation,…

I would guess that you should probably increase your water a bit, the muscles will hold onto it to try and repair themselves, also recalculate your calories and make sure that your deficit is not so much that you have gone into starvation mode. Another option is to zig zag your calories to keep your body guessing. Any…

edit:, the both of you are quite funny hehe haha,,,OMG this was just great, if it didnt cheer her up, it sure cheered me up, so,,,,WELL DONE youve completed you task for the day!! you must be a riot in person lmao
-
great job, you should be proud!!!!!!! keep up the good work
-
you should not be training the same muscle groups on a daily basis, you need a couple days rest before attacking them again, they need to be able to repair themselves. if you enjoy working out and "need" to get to the gym everyday like I do, then you should only be targeting 1-2 muscle groups at a time. IE: back and bi's…

we cant see your diary to "tweek" here and there, and have you recalculated your goals, with so little left to lose, I hear its going to come off much more slowly, and actually need a little higher calorie need because you are close to maint calories? Another thing might be your water intake? your body could be starting to…

Its really going to depend on how and where your body gets rid of fat first. good luck though and dont get discouraged,,,,thats why I started to measure myself, so I would have something that would change in case the scale didnt haha
-
First, you need to make sure that your "lifestyle" is accurately calculated in your set up when you started MFP, if that is correct, it will tell you how many calories you need to eat in order to lose weight. Any and all exercising you can do above and beyond that is "bonus" in every aspect of the word: calorie burn…

you wanna listen to this guy, he's got it all together.... anyways, my proein is always in the red and I get excited about it haha,,,,regular protein intake for me is around 100 - 130

I dont worry too much about sugar and carbs either, if its all natural, and not processed. If this is your next step for goals, perhaps googling lower sugar choices/ brands for the foods that you're eating? the one drawback for this, is you will probably find that your sodium intake may go up. In order for manufacturers to…

they are not in my family budget either, I watch my actual "food" calories and try to hit that, or around 100 of my exercise calories eaten at a maximum, that has been working well and seems to accomodate for any mislogging/ miscalculating. I log my calorie burn from the eliptical that I use, and it is usually…

thanks so much to you all, I know I can do this too!!! and so can you all!!!! I love this site and the friends that i've made here and their willingness to share their knowledge with me.

yes, I've read alot of people will use 1 cup of chocolate milk immediately following their workout for that same reason,,,,,so I'm guessing its not diet soda after thinking this through, its probably regular for this very purpose, along with the carbs in it....liquid carbs so absorbed and used efficiently?
-
I too loved my soda, Coke drinker her. Its been almost 18 years,,,yes you've read that correctly, 18 YEARS, since I've even had a sip of coke. I now only drink water and will on occasion have a sprite/ sierra mist if I'm not feeling very good tummy wise (its my comfort food from when I was a little girl - never like ginger…

great ideas with the need for added water to help get rid of this weight, and changing up some foods that will satiate longer. You might want to google "super foods", foods that keep your metabolism going, they tend to satiate a bit longer because it takes longer for them to digest, ie. apples (with skins), oatmeal,…

you will have to find what works best for you, but rule of thumb is to eat about 80% of the exercise calories back. I zig zag them, when I feel hungrier, I eat close to that, if I dont, ....well then I dont. I've really learned to listen to my body this way. good luck to you

yes, the last two posts are correct, you need to increase your water to get rid of what the muscles are holding onto in order to repair themselves. To help with this repair, you should try getting some more lean protein consummed within about 1/2 hr from your workout for you muscles. A couple of days of clean eating…
