I just finished my first week of couch to 5k this week. My 5k is June 4th!. The podcast is great too, tells you when to jog, when to walk and does it to music. They have a facebook page, check it out. I

I have two herniated disks (L4 and L5). When I first had my injury I wasn't able to lift a gallon of milk or 2 liter bottle of soda. I walked as much as I could, but yes walking hurt after only a little bit, so I went to the YMCA and did swim aerobics and laps. It helped alot and I was able to get some weight off which…

I struggled with this myself just yesterday. Even blogged on just this topic. I didn't handle it too well. I was so afraid of binging that I didn't eat at all. I think next time I am going to try to go for a run or walk to work out my thoughts, stress, anxiety, etc. One thing I have turned to for a little stress is tootsie…

Any weight loss is good. Did you take your measurements? You may have lost inches and that is ultimately what is going to count, how you look and feel in your body. If you haven't yet measured I would strongly suggest you do. Keep up the great work and stay motivated. You can add me as a friend if you wish. I am new to…

This is great timing for me. We have a family run in memory of my niece on June 4th. I would love to run the 5K and make a good time. Also I would like to bring this to my church next year after I have done it on my own to help others do the same and get more people to partcipate in the run. Would love to have others to…

Awesome job!! Every little NSV is huge! Way to go and keep it up. I too just had a similar experience, and posted my NSV. I went from 22 pants size that didn't fit and today went to the store and zipped up 18s!

I found Chocolate Chex mix works well for me. I eat it dry and it gives me the crunch I need plus that little bit of Chocolate that I love. It is a great snack and fairly nutritious and for anybody who has a gluten intolerance, it's gluten free besides! If you don't feel like going out try some carrots or popcorn or even…

I have a teen daughter who is bipolar, just recently diagnosed, however she knows that we will not accept any type of drugs or alcohol. She is not perfect by any means and even had been in youth court for borrowing a friends cell phone without permission (she gave it back in the morning, never planned to keep it). This was…

Gluten is in wheat products. You have to read all ingredients very carefully because it sneaks in where you wouldn't think it would. Rice mixes have wheat in them. Malt also has gluten, as does barley and rye. Oats do not but those with Celiac disease can not have oats because they are processed in factories where flour is…
