  • I'm in...I need a challenge to get me started again! 239lbs tonight
  • I could use another friend, please add me. Im not on too much over the weekends, but am during the week.
  • looks great, can't wait to try
  • Sounds great!
  • I struggle with this as well and ended up eating hardly anything my last weekend camping. The next time we go I have a few ideas that will help hopefully. I have a crockpot for camping...I am going to make turkey chili, also foil dinners with chicken and veggies and a little fat free italian dressing in it. I also have a…
  • I had that problem also. Now I am very careful not to snack on salty things like pretzels. I bring baby carrots to snack on and don't drink any soda only water (not a coffee drinker at all, so I use to use Pepsi to stay awake with) I now can lose weight over the weekend instead of gaining. Working 12 hour shifts is very…
  • That is great, my first 5k is June 4th.
  • Whenever I am going out to eat I always look up the restaurant menu online and decide what I am going to have before I get to the restaurant. That way I am not tempted by all the sights and smells of the restaurant. I will also call the restaurant if I need to in order to make sure they can meet my requests and then I will…
  • you can add me as a friend if you like.
  • one of my favs is Chocolate chex...they are gluten free, give you that chocolate fix, but not too chocolatey, they have the crunch factor too. I keep a box in my work bag and a snack sized ziplock bag which is a serving size 130 cal
  • One of my fav meals is throwing a baked potato into the microwave. I split it open and pour some Fat Free Ranch dressing on it and add some real bacon pieces (1 TBSP is only 25 cal) No need for any butter or sour cream, it is so filling and a comfy food. I had it for lunch today Only 150 cal for my whole meal!
  • I did notice on the C25k site on facebook that people who start out on the treadmill have difficulty going outside and doing the same run. I would suggest doing some outside runs and only doing the treadmill when you just can't get outside.
  • Not that I'm aware of, but you can download podcasts that will tell you when to run and walk and has two different playlists of songs for each week. I used Running into shape by Carli when I first started. Now I just use a workout app that has a gps and cal burned on it and just listen to my own playlist
  • I'm starting week 8, 28 min runs. I never thought I would ever be a runner, but I am loving it. I get an awesome workout, fresh air and some time to myself away from the kids for a bit (I'm basically a stay at home mom, only work Sat and Sun nights when kids are sleeping). Good luck with your training program and they are…
  • Probably a stupid question, but since today is May 1, do we give the past Friday's weight or wait until this Friday the 6th to give the weight?
  • Starting weight for group...233.7/ todays weight 223.8 total loss...9.9 lbs just .1 shy of the goal oh well, loss total of 21 lbs and 64 inches overall since starting MFP on March 21
  • Lands end has great quality and mix and match styles so you can pick what you like. They are a little pricey but they are having a sale through tomorrow 25% off and they last a good long time.
  • I started the couch to 5k a while back...I'm on week 7 now (running 25 min and 4k) I'm hoping to get my time under 35 minfor 5K in the next 6 weeks. They are on facebook so you can post there and get feedback and encouragement like on MFP. The only concern I have for you is that people who have posted that they were…
  • Feel free to add me....everyone who posted can add me if they like. My current goal is a 5k in 6 weeks on June 4th.
  • so cool...was wanting something like this when I went out today...thanks!
  • Did you take your measurements? I was shocked when I took my measurements and had lost many inches even when the scale didn't show that much. Remember you are losing that weight everywhere, so it will take a bit to see results in your tummy area or your hips. If you haven't done your measurements I strongly suggest you do.…
  • Thanks! I have been drinking ALOT of water. I always drink two glasses first thing in the morning and I always drink a full glass of water before I eat a meal and another with the meal. I also have started running. I am following the couch to 5k training program.
  • Feel free to add me, I'm on every day (not as much on weekends as I work two 12 hour shifts, but still check it)
  • almost 2 1/2 pounds lost this week, total of 6.8 pounds....hoping to be able to get that 3.2 pounds in the next week! 4/1 - 233.7 4/8 - 229.8 4/15 - 229.2 4/22 - 226.8
  • I'm on every day, there might be a few times on the weekends that I might not log on as I work 12 hour overnight shifts but so far I'm on multiple times a day...I'm addicted!
  • I work as a Nursing Supervisor, 12 hour overnight shifts, 8p-8a. I am tired but just force myself to go out for a run and I always feel great after. I also do the 100 rep workout in my office minus the crunches and take the stairs. I figure every little bit helps. I also plan my meals and snacks really well so if I need to…
  • Only about a half pound for me...229.2 today for me, was 229.8 last week. I'm good with that as I also lost 8 1/2 inches
  • I too struggled and worried about the same issue just a few weeks ago. I work 12 hour weekend night shifts. I log as I eat, so if you are eating something right now, log it in for Saturday (I use my app on my blackberry). I bring a bag of baby carrots and spend the extra money for the very small ones. I eat those when ever…
