Plus Size Bathing Suit????

Options
Ladies!!! I need your help! My bathing suit is totally shot and I need a new one! I prefer one with a skirt :blushing: , and one that has a lot of top control so my toddler doesn't decide to expose my "husband's treasures"....they are only for him! Any ideas on the best places (in-store or on line) that won't cost me a fortune with excellent quality????

Thanks in advance for all your help!!!

Try Wal mart online or Target, I really like Targets and they are super nice!

I got one at Walmart that was $32, it's pretty nice, just maybe not enough support in the bust.

Lands end has great quality and mix and match styles so you can pick what you like. They are a little pricey but they are having a sale through tomorrow 25% off and they last a good long time.

Lands' End - great suits, great fit (once you find yours), cute selection this year - almost always a sale and free shipping - available in Sears to try on, and free returns to Sears Stores. (yes, I worked there once upon a time! I own billions of the suits that are still going strong...years later!)

The Lands End suits at Sears were really nice and reasonably priced last year. They sell the tops & bottoms separately in case you're unevenly sized like me. Not sure how large they go into the plus sizes, but I'm sure they at least have 16-18 in the store (and probably larger if you go to the Lands End website).

Mine is from Walmart and its actually really nice. It looks just like the one the model is wearing in my profile. Has extra fabric to hide fat and suck you in. I just wear a bum cover with mine when walking about. Best advice I can give is try them on! I tried on 3 or 4 before finding a good one.

Do they fit true to size? I am currently in a 24. Should I go down one with losing weight? Thoughts?

You could try one of the places below:

    Target
    Sears
    Marshalls
    TJMaxx
    Loehmanns
    JCPenny's

One of those places should have a NICE suit that you like, It could definitely take some time to find the "right" one for you as far as fit. Marshalls had a pretty selection the other day that I looked. Good luck!

Best advice is to take your measurements, even tho this is what people HATE to hear, and give them a call or hop on the chat. You will need your bust, waist, hip, and torso measurements - be honest - and they will help you size. There are product specialists available as well as swim experts - if in between sizes, we alwasy recommended sizing down due to the material stretching in the water, but, let them help you figure it out. Free service - great to utilize. I found that our swimwear fit pretty well - I'm a 12/14 and found the 14 to be a good fit almost always. The tops and bottoms of almost all suits are purchased separately for the best fit (thank GOD for the genius that came up with that) - offer tons of super cute swim mini's, if you like more coverage, and lots of mix and match options! www.landsend.com/swim - you can chat and talk to a swim expert to help you pick a flattering suit, or just use the search feature to find what you like. You can narrow your search by anxiety zone, bra type, size, swim type, etc. If you're nears Sears, hop on over and try some on. Once you find what fits, it's universal in the styles, generally. If you can't find what you want in the store, you can order from teh store and get free shipping (or just ask for it, pretty generous about just dishing it out, trust me!)

Thanks! I am going to go on and check there now! I take it you work for them? Any place to get coupons for a discount on-line?

penningtons and addition elle if you're in Canada. If in the US, lane bryant. Those are the only ones I have experience with in terms of swimsuits.

Roamans.com or OneStopPlus.com You can get the two piece suits with each piece a different size, and style. Good quality, a little pricy though. They seem to run (like most swim suits) a size small.
