Really great job! Though this is structured program, it's also about how you manage a healthy lifestyle with real life. The key is to make "plans" for those special events and then it becomes less of an issue. I did this in phase 1 and lost almost 16 lbs. In phase 2, I allowed some events and other things to derail me and…

Oh, how I love you, Cardio 2! O.k., not love in the usual "always thinking about you" sort of way, but I do love how it makes me feel. Cardio 2 makes me feel like an athlete. It's challenging, I can push myself as hard as I want and I get a great workout. I always add a few minutes at the end doing additional cardio for a…

You'll get there. Before starting JMBR, I did another program that is very push-up heavy. It's also a 90 day program. In the beginning, I did push-ups on my knees and did them slowly and not well. My the end, I was doing (and still do) push-ups on my toes. Now I work no my range of motion...trying to get my chest closer to…

As someone who has had some start/stop moments with JMBR, I'll share my perspective. When I first transitioned to workout 5 & 6, I added an additional week before I moved to workouts 7/8. I felt as though I was not yet ready. I had not perfected my form on a number of exercises (weighted superman, lunge chops, etc.) and…

Back in action...first full day back was great. I ate well, didn't feel deprived and even slept better. Workout this morning felt good....workout 6. I still feel a difference in my balance; that was the first thing to get weaker after 2 weeks off. I'm excited to see how much stronger I am after these two weeks of 5 & 6…

Amazing...91 lbs?? You're a great role model!

I took an unexpected two-week hiatus right as I wrapped phase II, so I'm redoing phase 2. I loved workouts 5, 6 ,7, and 8, though they are tough, but throughout phase 2, I didn't eat great. My phase 1 results were great (lost almost 16 lbs) and during phase 2, I lost 2 lbs and then regained the 2 lbs during my two-week…

Thanks!

I'm back! After a 2-week hiatus, I'm back and in full effect (or something like that...lol). I decided that due to my 2-week break and gaining a few pounds, I would start phase 2 over. I had great results in phase 1 and during my "first" phase 2, I did the workouts, but didn't eat great, hence, I ended up not losing much.…

Yes, I can easily do the side raises in crescent pose with 5 lbs, but I can't even hold 2 5-lb weights for warrior. I have to hold a single 5 lb weight between both hands.

Here are my thoughts: If you are eating cookies now and decide to have strawberries instead, you're going to lose weight and feel better. I would imagine these stories are for individuals who already have a thyroid issue AND eat an abundance of strawberries. I do not think this is for the average person who might eat a cup…

I've heard her say the same thing about 1200 calories. This doesn't make sense to me. When you're larger (e.g., over 50 lbs to lose), your basal metabolic rate is higher (takes more calories to carry a bigger body around). I don't see why that's appropriate for someone larger...especially with these workouts. Not for me.…

What type of results did you see with this hybrid?

Very interesting, the differences. I generally have good form and do most of the range of motion, along with the speed. With some of the exercises, I'm not sure if I CAN do the full range of motion, at any speed. For example, I don't think I can do those pendulum lunges in workout 8 at any speed and get my knee 1" from the…

Yes, the program is actually designed that way. Every section is two weeks, except for workouts 11 & 12, which are 3 weeks. 90 days is the equivalent of 13 weeks (minus one day). I've been doing some of the sections an extra week, so this extended section will work for me (I think...lol)...

Really great job!! You can definitely tell in the photos. And your stats are amazing! I lost more weight in Phase 1, but less inches; I'd take inches any day!!! You'll get there. Keep your eating clean and focus on your workouts and you'll see your body change!

Finished week 8 of the program (my 9th week doing JMBR). I have felt stonger these last few days doing workouts 7 & 8 and cardio 2. The workouts are still very challenging, so, as planned, I'll be adding an additional week. Though I haven't been eating great, I hope the fact that I have been doing the workouts is helping…

I'm still chugging along. Eating is still terrible. I really need to just get a handle on this. I continue to work out every day, though I have not done all of my workouts in the morning. I'm sure my poor eating is affecting my sleep, thus making it challenging to wake up. I will be back on track...doing an extra week of…

I am repeating week 7/8 for a third time next week, so it'll be a good week before I start Phase 3. Are the intervals 30 seconds in Cardio 3, like Cardio 2? I feel like I can do almost anything for 30 seconds. I, too, really like the rockstar jumps...although if that interval is "book-ended" by two other gnarly exercises,…

Gerla, In Chalean Extreme, she uses heavy weights. It would easiest to get adjustable weights. It's a great program, though!

Workout 8 again :). It's week 2 of workouts 7/8. I still feel so challenged in certain areas. I'm fairly certain I'll add an additional week of workouts 7/8. I also did one of the sections of Jillian Michael's Fastfix Kickboxing workout for some added cardio (to compensate for too much eating this week). I have been…

First off, congrats on the weight loss! I'm starting to realize that slow is good, in terms of weight loss and keeping it off. It allows your body (and mind) to get used to the changes. I plan to do JMBR again. I'm just finished the first week of week 7/8 and I may add extra weeks of workouts, if I don't feel ready to move…

Just finished my final workout in my "official" week 7 (though it's really my 9th week, after repeating week 6). Today's cardio was tough, even though it's my third week with cardio 2. Normally I do my workouts in the morning and today I did my workout in the afternoon...and it's in the 80s today. The warmer weather made…

You look great! I can totally tell the difference...awesome!!

I burn about the same with all of the workouts (a bit more with cardio). After I do the workouts for the first time, I try to push the UP button as much as I can. I find I just add intensity with each move so that my heartrate is always in the same zone. But I have a lot to lose, so I may be in the minority :).

Congratulations on your weight loss...so motivational! In terms of the workouts, it's about starting with where you are and making improvements. For example, do three push-ups now and make your next goal, 4 push-ups. In terms of push-ups, I would try to do them on your knees. Not that wall push-ups are not a good…

It's honestly a personal decision. At the end of the day, it's not going to "hurt" you by adding an extra week. You could always preview workouts 9 & 10 and then decide. I did an additional week of 5/6 because I had a bad eating week and wanted to have strong eating weeks for all of the workouts. I really enjoyed the extra…
