For me it's not about losing weight. I've never considered myself overweight, I'm always in the "normal" range. (Though sure I look in the mirror sometimes and notice every extra pound, but I think all girls do that sometimes) For me it's about being fit and healthy and strong. I want to be healthy and active for my future…

My most recent NSV was a confidence boost this morning when I was feeling especially puffy. I'm down to my last five (stubborn) pounds until my goal weight, and this morning I was very aware of my love handles. I went into the employee area at work, and overheard two of my coworkers talking in the other room who didn't…

I think it's pretty normal. Like Stephanieluvs said, everyone has a little thing that matters to them. For me, when I started, I paid a lot of attention to how many remaining calories I had. It was a big deal to me, and made me feel like I was doing really good. Then as I got used to everything, I realized that even having…

My biggest NSV: I have a bad lung from a surgery I had a few years ago. Now that I exercise regularly, I'm noticing that I don't have to stop and catch my breath as often and my lung is starting to get its strength back! It's an awesome feeling I also needed to buy a new belt, since my pants are falling off. And this one…

Oh and if it helps at all, my upper curve was 90 degrees, I forget my lower curve's final measurement

I have severe scoliosis and lift a few times a week. I'm not a doctor or anything, but I can share my experience and give my opinion. Background info: I had spinal surgery to fix it six years ago. I had both forms of scoliosis, and because I wore so many layers we didn't notice until they were both very advanced. My only…

I have guinea pigs, and they're one of the big reasons I started eating healthier! They need plenty of vegetables and some fruits, so I always lots of veggies in my fridge. When they have some, I have some! They also squeak when I open the fridge, and I feel bad eating a meal and not sharing with them, so I started adding…

I weigh in once a week, on Thursdays after work. I don't own a scale, and never have. I've always used the mirror and how I feel (energy level, etc). I go to my parents house every Thursday night for a family supper and I weigh myself before we eat, because until I hit my goal weight it's a simple way to track progress…

For me it's being alone. I wasn't overweight at all when I started, but I knew I was gaining weight and wanted to lose some. I didn't have as much energy, I was sleeping poorly, etc. Also, since my weight loss goal is smaller I didn't want to tell anyone I was trying to lose weight because I don't think it will be that…

I've tried chewing gum too, it worked pretty good for me. Another thing I do is: Eat! I'll bring a head of lettuce and when I start getting "bored hungry" I nibble away at it. Anything with few calories works. Or when it's worse I make some rice and pick away at it.
