The sadness post got me! Im no expert, but I do think bodies adjust to exercise and this would happen to runners, too. The more you do an exercise the easier it gets. I assume that the easier part is not all psychological, but your body does become more efficient- more efficient body means less calories needed for the same…

This, but the one I use is called "Interval Run".

Thanks for your reply! So when unused muscles shrink (great cast example!) does the body process that previously stored energy as fuel? Is that why some people say that unused muscle turns to fat?

Is the 1641 from MFP before you log/add in your exercise calories, or including them?
-
Yurbuds. Crazy expensive, but the only ones that willstay in my ears for an entire run. https://www.yurbuds.com/
-
That makes your pace 7.5 mph- maybe you have been overestimating calories burned?
-
Many people prefer to customize their calories and macros instead of using the MFP defaults. I don’t know what the "right" number for you is, but here is a great post that helped me to understand how much I should eat (and why) - http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 And…

This! I had to go cold turkey to get rid of my cravings. Almost a week of living hell (worst for my husband who had to listen to me whine about wanting ice cream or a candy bar, or even a spoonful of jam) and then it was all over. I havent eaten or wanted sweets for 2 months.

I got a pair of push up bars & really love them. Well, as much as you can love push up bars.

Donate it to my local food bank or a non-profit health clinic.

Let me know when you reach your goal- sounds like youre almost there!
-
You are my hero! What are you doing to ge there?
-
I cant either. My goal is to do one before 2013- do you have a pushup goal?
-
actually, I added 5.5 mph a while ago- maybe we cant see what other members have added to the cardio database?
-
yep- you can "make" a cardio exercise in the same way you add a food: add- cardio- create a new exercise
-
-edemame (I like to munch on them plain) -deli meat (I like to roll up thick slices of turkey with mustard)

Looks like your exercise is mostly cardio. If you don’t want a day off, maybe you could do some strength work instead of cardio on your "rest" day.

I quit sugary food like I quit smoking- cold turkey. Like smoking, the first week or 2 was the hardest for me. Sometimes I catch myself thinking things like "I have enough calories to budget that piece of cake in today" or "that peppermint pattie is only a few calories"- I have to remind myself that the issue isnt the…

Thanks for this- I just checked out nerd fitness & it is just what I need! I am going to start strength training at home today.

If eating sugar triggers sugar cravings for you then avoid it like the plague- for me a splurge on a sweet treat results in either more (a lot more) sweets or a miserable week of thinking how I want more. If you are the type that can have some and then move on then set aside some calories and work it into your food plan.…

I'd ignore the Zombies Run stats. I love it, but the fact that it always says I burned under 40 calories per run tells me they havent got the technical/fitness part of the app right yet.

How temporary is temporary? days? weeks? a month? Im in a similar situation- exercise for 3 weeks & no weight loss.
