  • ils, If I recall correctly, they do a few things, including a physical exam and interview. A number of blood tests should be done, especially blood sugar, insulin, and hormone levels. A couple of the major things they look for are irregular menses, acne, excess body or facial hair, and high blood pressure.
  • Exercise, exercise, exercise. I've had PCOS for about 15 years. It can be very difficult to lose the weight, but for me adding in at least 30 mins of moderate exercise 4-5 days per week and cutting back on the refined sugars and white flour has been the key.
