  • If you have Netflix, watch "Freaky Eaters". It's about people who are either extremely picky, or eat alot of one thing, to the point that it is affecting their health. I'm sure your situation is not so extreme, but they have good ideas that help these people to incorporate other foods that previously made them gag. Maybe…
  • I don't see why it is better to have a fast metabolism. From what I can tell, it seems that a faster metabolism means you can eat more, but that your cells age quicker.. I'm okay with eating less.
  • Most beans are high in both protein and fiber. So are many vegetables when you consider their high percentage of protein per calorie. You have to eat more, but you will get fiber, protein, and plenty of micronutrients.
  • I like my stomach. I hate my thighs. I feel like they are big and dumpy. I want slender legs. Oh, and I have really small calves to accentuate my big things even more!
  • I actually eat lots of greens, grilled mushrooms, cooked and raw veggies, and salad, when I feel like that. I usually feel better the next day. My weakness is for chocolate. If I get into a habit of eating it, then I want it more and more.
  • Black bean/ quinoa patties: 160 calories in 1/2 cup. -Cook 1 lb soaked black beans until think and mushy. I add one or two diced onions, some celery (sauté veggies first) and 1-2 T chili seasoning to beans while cooking. Don't drain, boil down. -Mix cooked beans with. 2-3 cups of cooked quinoa. -Add 1 cup whole wheat bread…
  • If you haven't done so already, make sure that your posture is correct. Your posture affects how you appear, but also how your muscle develops, since it determines and how you use your body.
  • I make enough of some kind of vegetarian patty (lentil/walnut, quinoa/black bean, falafel) to freeze. They freeze really well uncooked and I haven had a problem leaving out egg, even when the recipe requires it (cooking the beans from dry helps). Then they are sitting in my freezer, individually wrapped in parchment paper,…
  • You did it!! I'm not surprised at all. I always enjoy your positive energy and support. I think you are one of those people who every day makes decisions that makes the world a better place for others. ????????????
  • Yep. People look at me like I'm committing child abuse when I tell my son he can't have something because it isn't healthy. It's pathetic that the worst foods are traditionally considered kids foods. Just look at a restaurant's Kid's Mens: Grilled Cheese, Hamburger, chicken tenders, all with fries. My son has friends who…
  • I eat alot of fruits and vegetables. My portions have definitely gone up, and I do get hungry again, so I just eat more. this is the only way I have been able to get all of the vitamins I need. I only get about 10-20 percent of my calories from protein, but I have steadily been burning fat, and I have more energy than I…
  • Dexter The New Girl Any "real housewives" show.. Take your pick Say "yes" to the dress.. I feel like it is ALWAYS on. .
  • 33 years old. 4'11", 96 lbs, bmi: 19 I average around 1100 calories daily I am a stay at home wife, so I'm pretty sedentary unless I exercise, which I I log I work out around five days a week. • Homemade veggi/bean patties like black bean and quinoa, falafel, and lentil walnut. I can make these and freeze them individually without cooking. Then they are ready to cook quickly when I need one.
  • My husband and I take a lot of mini vacations and trips. Here are some tips I've learned: -don't treat every meal like a special treat meal. Pick one a day and try extra hard to eat healthy for the others - opt for the hotel buffet for breakfast, when possible. They usually have fresh fruit, yogurt, whole grain…
  • Go canoeing, or lying by the pool and reading a book. Going out to dinner and sitting outside.
  • My mom wouldn't let me get any tatoos, or a navel piercing and now I'm really glad. The tatoo I wanted would have looked silly later and the same goes for the ones I thought about getting, but didnt, later on. I'm glad I didn't get the navel piercing because I like how my belly looks without one, and I'm not sure i like…
  • The elliptical does work. It is my main workout. I also do some very light weights while in the treadmill and some leg presses. I especially feel like the elliptical works my obliques. Edited to add that it is really important to put your weight in the machine if you are using its reading for calorie burning. It varries a…
  • I like "detox" by Sara Rose. It's a short magazine like book with a one month, or a weekend, diet plan. My husband and I enjoyed the diet and learned to enjoy a few new foods, while doing just fine without some others.
  • That kinda seems like a stretch...
  • I make whole juice and smoothies in my Blendtec. This way I can control which nutrients and how many calories I'm getting. The blender is worth the cost since you will save money on shakes and have it for many years. I also get alot of use out of mine during margurita/daiquiri season, and by making stuff like hummas,…
  • Find your body fat percentage. Use it to find your tdee and then eat below that (usually 20 percent). Whether or not you eat back your exercise calories is up to you. People do it both ways.
  • This is the exact one I was thinking of! I like the original, "princess of mars" too.
  • Ball makes no sugar needed pectin. It is really easy to use. I made blueberry jelly (refrigerator jelly) by boiling some frozen blueberries with a little water, adding a spoon of the pectin, boiling it for a minute, and then pouring it into a jar. It was really good.
  • If you do want east low cal French onion soup, make up a big batch of caramelized onions and season them with fresh thyme and a little sherry. Freeze 1/2 cup servings in baggies. For instant French onion soup, put a frozen block in a cup and then cover with canned beef broth and microwave. I used to bring a few baggies to…
  • 7 servings of fruits/veggies a day isn't enough, if you aren't getting fiber from other sources. I get most of my fiber from fruits and veggies and I usually go over the suggested fiber by at least 10 grams. Avg day for me (at 96lbs) is: 100-200 g kale 100 g celery 100-200 g lettuce 1 banana 1/2-1 cup berries 1-2 cups of…
