  • It happens Sue, I'm up 2lbs from this weekend. I wouldn't say it in public, but I am finally figuring out I stress eat when hubby is home. I don't think he means to stress me out but he does. He's an civil engineer, totally into every single little detail of things which drives me crazy, and I finally figured out that if I…
  • Hi all sorry for the late post, I tend to log into MFP from the app on my IPhone, so I can't get into the group of blogs from there. About me, I'm Lou, I'm 25, originally from London, but currently living in sunny Texas. I'm currently bouncing around in the 290's down from an all time high of 375lbs. I'm not really into…
  • You can have some of mine... I'm nice like that
  • I did it for a week and was so ill. I was dizzy, felt faint and was hungry all the time, not to mention to cost of all these fruits and vegetables needed to juice. I also went out and bought a brand spanking new Jack Lalaine juice, the high end one and still I lost so much of the goodness of the vegetables. That being…
  • Tai chi is actually martial arts based, I have done both Tai Chi and gigong, and omg I hurt the next day, gigong was all stretches and holding poses, sure they are slow paced but they are much harder than you think. That being said they are both awesome. And FYI, I was doing both of these at 375lbs!

  • Do what feels right for you. Personally I disagree with your coach, fat is not the enemy. Eating healthy fats, such as coconut, avocado, olive oils and real butter is just fine. Also increasing protein (grass fed, pasture raised is best) and including fish is a healthy approach. If low fat low cal works for you, great!…

  • My BMI is currently 45, even after losing 80lbs, I guess it took me longer than most people to have that moment where I decided that I needed to change something. I have drastically my diet, I try to eat fruit, veggies and lean grass fed, protein only now. I still occasionally slip up but I'm working on it. Stay strong you…
  • I have 8 dogs, we live out in the country, but I aim to walk with at least 4 of them every day, (2 at a time) My great pyrs are lazy, and just bumble along, but when I wanna kick up the pace I grab my Malamute and Huskie mix and let them walk me buwahahahhahaha!
  • 3 Days to Kill. (I'm a huge Kevin Costner fan!)
  • I cut out refined sugars, processed foods, legumes, sodas, potatoes and I severely restrict breads also. My doing this I have lots more calories to play with. It also means I can eat more good foods, such as Steak, Pork, BACON and my current fave ground buffalo. Yesterday for example I made my own version of PF Chang's…

  • Hi Phil! Welcome to the 300 lbs club. I was 373.8 pounds when I started paleo last September, today I am 307. Paleo works you just gotta stick with it. I know what you mean about feeling malnourished. When I started I went from a god awful diet heavily based in starches potatoes, rice, lentils, and quinoa. Because you know…

Hubby and I have fostered 20 +/- over our 5 years in foster. I've foster failed 3 times. I'm a sucker for the ones with emotional, separation anxiety issues.
