Thank you for this topic! This is my first winter running, really useful information.

I live right on the west side of Ann Arbor :)

Someone once told me the first 30-days are the hardest - and for me it was true. It took me every bit of those 30-days before it turned into routine. Don't give up. Focus on making manageable life-style changes. Sure some diets out there will be successful, but will you be able to upkeep that the rest of your life? Try…

I'm sorry to hear about your recent struggles. Try not to let someone else control your happiness and take it one day at a time. Sent you a request.

Hi! Anyone feel free to add!

I'm 29. Feel free to add!

I don't find it strange. I have a 3.5 yo and I use a jogging stroller for her.

Yes! I started seriously logging after I had already lost 10 lbs, so my weight loss is not entirely accurate on my profile. I was shocked at how much easier the weight came off when I became dedicated to logging.

Yes, and no. I have a 'goal' weight that I am shooting for. After that I want to put more focus on toning and building lean muscle. I'm also trying to put focus on life style changes. Logically, I know I will never be able to keep up a 'diet' forever. I can however eat better and still fit in those occasional treats.

I bring in my lunch/snacks just enough for the day and planned ahead. I don't keep a stash - if it's not there I can't eat it. I typically know what I will be eating for the day in advance (meals & snacks) which helps from going over my goal and let's me know what wiggle room I have. My biggest struggle is all the goodies…

Hi! Feel free to add me. I am 29 and have a very busy 3 yo girl. It's definitely challenging fitting in exercise with little ones.

I'm a C25K 'graduate' and plan to use it to train for a 10k. I completed my first 5k in August and am doing my second in November. Started off being the furthest thing from a runner, but now I'm hooked. Would love to connect with other runners - feel free to add!

Hi Erin. Congrats to you! I use the C25K app myself and love it. I have a little girl who will be 4 in January.

Due to my work schedule slow cooker meals never worked for me either. What I ended up doing (when the meals allow for it) is I will cook the meal in the slow cooker during the night while we are asleep and throw it in the fridge when we wake up. That way when I get home from work all we need to do is re-heat. It helped…

Hi =) I am in a similar situation as you are. I am 5'3" and work a 9-5pm desk job. Like you, my goal is 115 lbs (I am only 3 lbs shy of my goal!). Feel free to add!

Hi! I'm Jess and I am turning the big 3-0 in a few short weeks. I live in popular college town in southern MI. I started my journey at the beginning of summer to get fit and happy! I am 4 lbs away from my 'goal' weight and am looking for friends to keep me motivated, but also (hopefully!) encourage as well. I recently ran…

I run 4 days a week, but that's going to be coming to a stop soon. I won't be able to hit the treadmill that often during the winter, so I am searching for DVDs to use at home. I currently use Brazil Butt Lift on my off days from running ... I like it ok, but I am already getting bored with it.

Hi! I have a 3.5 girl and work 45 hours a week. Time is my biggest struggle. I run 12 miles a week (with my 3 yo in the jogging stroller) and try to fit in workouts at home on my off days. It's so hard to stay on track when you want to just crash at the end of the day. Would love to connect with other Moms on here. Feel…

New here too and looking for supportive friends - feel free to add!

Great job! It's difficult in the beginning, but I promise you it gets better! I have graduated C25K and it was very helpful. When I struggled with a week, I stayed on it for a little bit longer until I felt confident. I found the biggest thing was using the app as a tool, but following what my body was trying to tell me.…

Hi! Turning the big 3-0 this month =) I started this journey at the beginning of the summer with the goal of going into my 30's being fit and happy with myself. I am officially 4 lbs away from my goal. I am new to the community, but looking for motivational friends as well. Feel free to add me!
