Congrats on the weight loss! They're just jealous. Many people in my life started making hurtful comments once I lost a lot of weight (359lbs at my heaviest, 170 at lightest, 200 now losing again). They judge themselves based on how much you weigh, as in they feel okay as long as they can still look down at you for your…

Like everyone else said that's assuredly water fluctuation/retention. Weighing once a week helps average the swings in weight and after a couple of weeks you'll start seeing the gradual decline.

HW: 360 SurgeryW: 320 LW: 170 CW: 205 5'10" M I slipped off the wagon some which led to the regain but have things back under control with the app. I'd like to get back down to the 180 zone and have my goal set to 1700 per my Dr. Most days it's a struggle to get above 1500. I have my splits set to 50% Carbs, 20% Fat, 30%…

Seriously this! Weeks 3-5 I lost 0 and it was really frustrating. It'll happen so long as you follow the plan. It's science

New one today, belt ran out of notches going DOWN in size!

I don't as I'm still losing. Many articles I've read recommend against it as the calorie estimates burned from exercise aren't very reliable. There are some insane estimates out there.

We've all been through a major change and people who haven't gone through it can't understand what it's like coming back from being 150-300lbs overweight. I was talking with some friends about going on a city bike ride this weekend and, in the course of discussion, I mentioned my apprehension about renting a bike for the…

Had a good one over the weekend, was travelling home fro visiting my sister and the TSA guy at the airport wouldn't let me through at first since I didn't look like my driver's license photo anymore! He needed to pull out a magnifying glass to compare my facial features to me. Also, didn't need to worry about whether or…

Tracking everyday is what's helping me. I'm 7 months out now and the desire to eat more has returned even if it's much weaker than before. Checking out the calories before hand and making it fit into the pattern daily has helped curb those feelings. Also concentrating on how you feel while you eat so you don't go past your…

I still drink flavored water 7 months out. It was one of the first things I could do to add some sort of taste back into things. Started with 80% water 20% Poweraide Zero. Now I use the same split with water and the zero calorie Arnold Palmer Iced Tea/Lemonade. It still works great for satisfying cravings

Glad you're doing well Elif!

I did decaf after 2 months and started back in with 1/2 caf after my 6 month appointment. It was less about taste/habit/caffeine and more about doing something to feel "normal" again.

My nutritionist laid into me at my 6mo appointment for not eating enough (I was eating around 600 cal a day, they wanted at least 800 but preferably 1000). 2 reasons - 1. Still need certain baseline nutrition to survive even if burning fat is carrying me for my energy 2. It's good practice for the future as my body adapts…

Great job! I hit that milestone a couple weeks ago and almost cried (actually I screamed so loud in celebration my dog ran to the other side of the house. Had been 23 years, first time since elementary school.

It takes a while for the anesthesia to wear off and to adjust to the food (or lack there of). Took me about 3-4 weeks, but other people feel better after a week or two. The feeling of "the worst" went away for me after about 10 days. You're almost there!
