Small deficit of 200-300, strength training focused around major compound movements (squats, bench press, deadlift, overhead press) some isolation exercises. 4 day split mon, tues, thurs, fri. Plenty of rest and eating good. High protein, mod carb, low fat.. The key is to not just jump into a huge deficit, your metabolism…

Cardio is not required. You can achieve fat loss through a caloric deficit alone (which is what I recommend for reasons I won't get into here). When fat loss begins to plateau THEN you can/should incorporate cardio if you don't want to reduce cals any further. This is my 8 month progress with ZERO CARDIO. Strength training…

No one can motivate you but YOU. There will be "food terrorists" all around you..im approached by them on the daily. You need self control and no one can give that to you but you. As soon as you learn self control changes can begin. Just so you know it "can be done"

Sounds like better advice from the above posters...just saying what I"D do...then again I do zero cardio..so yea..

You have to really, sincerely want to do it. To the point that unplanned cheating isn't even an option. Cheating isn't even in your vocabulary (unless planned). Habits are tough to break..everyone struggles with them. I have dipped chewing tobacco for the past 7 years and is a habit I am desperately trying to kick. Slowly…

My foster grandfather had a huge gut. He'd tell me he got it from swallowing a watermelon seed. Needless to say for the next 12 years I was terrified of swallowing a seed. He also had this metal ashtray with engravings he would tell me how he was younger he was a cowboy and he snuck onto an indian reservation and stole it…

Carb load the day/night before. Lots and Lots of carbs. Try to keep them complex/low gi (oats, whole wheat pasta, whole wheat breads, brown rice etc). Pace yourself. Hydrate. Win. If I were running a marathon I'd personally eat at a 500-600 cal surplus the day before comprised primarily of carbohydrates. Something along…

I was terrible starting too...you need to play around in the kitchen. I keep things basic because 8 months later I'm still not a GREAT cook. Just work with what you have. All in all you HAVE to cook...microwave dinners won't cut it.

Thanks :D Doubt you'd be saying that 8 months ago, but trust me focus on losing overall bodyfat..work abs lightly, just enough to stimulate growth. No need to overdo it because they're already there.
-
Weighted ab crunches, Romanian Crunches, hanging knee raises, weighted decline crunches, ab wheel, cable crunches (my fav), planks, ...you only need to spend 5-10 minutes working abs. Just enough to stimulate growth...everyone has abs, it's a matter of removing subcutaneous fat layers hiding them.
