  • 15lbs is where i started to see it. I started at 160 at 5'0" and it took that much for ME to tell a difference. Other people started telling me i looked different at about 8lbs but i couldnt see it. Im down 18lbs now and have 17 more to go.
  • Try to find a running store near you that can fit your shoes and assess your gait. There is a store near me that does this and even watches with a slow motion camera as you walk to help find the right shoe. You may not need new shoes but the information would be helpful to know if you are in the right type to begin with.…
  • just wear a bunch of tule and go as a louffa
  • i do regular push ups until my arms just cant anymore then i go to girly if i have to. I hate that but id rather keep going then just sit and rest more. I did insanity in my garage with regular running shoes. If you have sore feet you may just need to stretch your ankle and toes out more after you're finished.
  • Diet Coke with Splenda is fine for you. Splenda is the only no calorie sweetner that will not make you crave more sugar! Its the only diet drink i drink and if i go out i do not get a soft drink. And dont believe you will get cancer from eating/drinking splenda...you only will if you injest about a ton each year....so you…
  • The only reason I do believe the 30-40g per serving myth is because thats all my body can handle at a time without getting an upset stomach or extreemly gassy lol. Everyone is different So its best to adjust as your body is able to tolerate. The key is macros for sure agreed you need protein fat and carbs to reach your…
  • Really woman can do the same workouts and nutrition as men to gain muscle and lose weight...we just need to adjust how much we are taking in. Woman will be not bulk up like the hulk unless they are taking major supliments to make them do so. We lack the hormones that men have to make us do that. Protein is NEEDED if you…

  • Training here for the October 2012 Carolinas event! Im doing Insanity right now. Got about 3.5 weeks left, when its over i plan to work on the running (up to 6 miles), strength training, and Plyometric exercises. Im really excited ive wanted to do this for over a year but there was not an event close enough to me. NOW…
  • ^^^^^^^^^^Agreed. Im a Physical Therapist Assistant and we recomend this one like crazy. Also rolling a golf ball on the floor with your arch will hurt but it will help. Just keep stretching and getting in there with a ball or water bottle. If you keep trying that for a few weeks and nothing changes then you may need PT.…
  • you are looking great girl! keep up the hard work!
  • try something new. If you have to force yourself to do something you hate everyday you wont last long. We all go through phases trust me. The key is not to let one or two bad days ruin your whole week. I agree with above ^^^^^^^^ start small and focus on your meals then gradually get back into a workout routine. Try some…
  • Good idea girl i did the same thing....and i just want to warn you to take off your email from your phone because its going to be buzzing for 3 days with freinds requrests. lol.
  • Pure cardio does suck...but i think i hate plyometric circuit even more lol. i really cant tell. each time i do either one i say "i hate this one more" ha ha ha
  • lol no nothing you said girl, I just got about 140 requests and want to keep it small so i had a special screening process lol. If i couldnt see your logs, your profile said anything about a "thigh gap", you were 60yo (nothing wrong with age here just trying to find support from people my age) that sort of thing...i…
  • swelling in the heat will happen just make sure you keep up with your water intake. A lot of people think drinking more water will make them retain more water..not true. You'd be amazed at what water will do.
  • Again thanks to everyone who has responded... i think i do need to be more active in the threads. as far as posting on my friends walls and posts...i do. a lot. THATS why im frustrated and why i started this thread. So i will take some advice and add more friends. But i will delete people who are not motivating or…

  • all great advice above so far. Another tip would be to just look into clean eating. Not that you will be able to follow clean eating to the T when you are in a dorm, however it will give you some ideas of better choices when you are out...such as brown rice instead of white...or none if they dont have brown, veggies over…
  • this is great. I feel bad for deleting people sometimes but if they are not motiviating or not even loggin in....lol maybe its ok to delete them. Thanks a bunch guys i feel a lot better than i did a few hours ago. I will not let it effect my workouts i refuse to do that.
  • thanks everyone. Mostly my friend right now on MFP are in my "real life" i think that is what makes it even more frustrating. I post on them tell them to keep it up and motivate when needed if they are not logging that sort of thing. So im just frustrated that the people i am closest to and have made such good progress…
  • this is how i was feeling last year. I joined MFP in 2011 and didnt start really using it until a couple of months ago. What helped me was to find friends on MFP to support you and make you want to keep coming back...however MY friends list is not so supportive lately. I would love to become friends and help support each…

  • The eating more is so true. But dont just add to your regular meals a day. add an extra snack or post workout protien shake. You need to eat about every 3 hours to keep your metabolism up. Also every couple weeks you need to change up your exercise routine. Interval training is great and the internet has a lot of free…
