I lost a bald eagle carrying a few eggs!

I eat a lot of fruit but also have trouble with veggies - especially cooked. I like salads but can't choke down cooked green beans, broccoli, etc, and really wish I could. I do like fresh spinach so add that to eggs, sandwiches, and use it for salads. I find chopping up raw veggies into small pieces help with adding them…

I've been trying to do this also - drink a glass as soon as I get up and before every meal. Bob from the Biggest Loser was also talking about drinking a glass of water before each meal to help fill you up and keep you hydrated. I also sometimes add the flavored drops into the water if I feel like I'm having trouble getting…

I hope that works for me too, as I could never totally give up the tasty stuff like chocolate, ice cream, burgers...all in moderation. The tracking tool for the food has been SO helpful in making me aware of how many calories are going in and really help with the weight loss.

Sky Zone is the name of the place around where I live - and it is a blast. I've gone multiple times with my son and did the jumping with all the trampolines close together and also played many rounds of dodge ball. Great exercise. I'm 52, and I still love this kind of stuff!

I'm 52, height 5'5" and got down to 127 and seem kind of stuck here - I had set 127 as kind of a goal first but still not where I'd like to be (when looking in mirror) so now want 125 as my goal but have been stuck a few weeks at 127. I'll keep at it!

What really helped me is wearing a boot thing/splint at night (purchased on Amazon) for plantar fasciitis ..it holds your foot in a flexed position overnight and it really seemed to help resolve the issue (also did stretching, rolling, and icing during the day). I could barely walk when I first got out of bed each morning…

I usually only count the cardiovascular stuff I do as a specific workout, such as running, elliptical, walking, or Zumba. In the winter, I did count shoveling snow several times as it was a lot of work and I worked up a sweat.

I had surgery at the end of Feb so was not able to do strenuous exercise for 6 weeks such as running or elliptical or Zumba like I would normally be doing...I was able to walk though. I could not lift anything for 6 weeks either. I had only started on MFP approximately Feb 7 so I was worried that without my normal…

Same for me! Exercising is never the problem; it always ends up being allowing myself too many treats and too large of portion sizes.

I'm 5'5" and currently 127 lbs and am 52 yrs old. I lost 13 lbs since joining MFP about Feb 7th. I think I have a medium frame - there is nothing petite or small about my bones or frame! I still want to lose a little more as I'm not happy with my midsection, but I'm hoping to start up with toning and weight lifting again…

I always microwave it....2-3 minutes for 2 slices...and it comes out crispy (I let it sit for a couple of minutes after nuking it and before eating it).

What REALLY helped me is wearing one of those braces at night for plantar fascitis...it holds your foot in a flexed position and it started helping so quickly. Prior to wearing it, I could hardly walk on it first thing in the morning. I did stretching exercises on that foot (which I found on youtube) and wore the brace for…

Most days at work in the morning, I cook an egg in the microwave with two links of fully turkey breakfast sausage (all stirred together) and eat it on a toasted whole wheat sandwich thin or a 100 calorie multi-grain English muffin.....it's about 240 calories and I think the protein helps fill me up. If I'm at home, I…

I can't picture myself ever in real short hair...I have had it shoulder length or a little longer for many years (except for the ugly bi-level cut in the 80s!). This all stems from the horrors of 8th grade. I had had long hair almost to my waist in 7th grade and eventually got it cut to my shoulders. The summer going into…

I can tell you my experiences as I have had that problem. After giving birth to two kids, I had the issues when running, sneezing, dancing, and any type of physical activity that involved any bouncing. I was never really overweight so I don't think that was the problem - giving birth was as that was the definite mark to…

I drink it also and I find it helps diminish cravings a bit so that I can usually prevent unnecessary snacking but I don't think it helps with the actual weight loss process. It helps me get in my water intake also, and it is supposed to have good health benefits.

Very inspiring to see these great photos and amazed at the dedication and transformations!

Drinking green tea helps me....or water. Sometimes just the fact of drinking something and waiting a bit helps me determine if I am just craving something, bored, or truly hungry.

I too overate this weekend so you are NOT alone - I was out of town visiting relatives and there were two dinners out and wine and desserts....back on track today though so far. I also didn't get a chance to exercise over the weekend (stupid motel touted an exercise room but one machine was ancient and the treadmill of…

I second all of those suggestions. I would eat more carbs in the days leading up to the race, and on the morning of the race, eat carbs that don't have tons of fiber (I often have yogurt and a very light cereal such as Special K). If you haven't tried them already, while you are training, you may want to consider some goos…
