I am in the same boat and am working hard to lose the 10 lbs I've gained since the big M...I'm 58. What bugs me so much too is that the weight has settled in my tummy area...I used to always gain it in my thighs but now I feel like it is all in my gut! I was getting lazy in not tracking calories either. I have always been…

I have not had the gastric sleeve surgery myself but a family member has and they are struggling so much with getting the necessary fluids and nutrition as well due to nausea and as you can imagine, very low energy. They've been to the doctor and all appointments each week and they've had to get IVs for dehydration twice…

You look fantastic! I too have hovered around similar weights and looked fairly "normal" sized but felt dumpy and bloated, so I'm trying to get back on track with logging and really monitoring calories (I like working out, so that isn't the problem - it's the snacking and portion size). I'm 58 and am 5'5" tall, and every…

Sometimes my Fitbit syncs okay to MyFitnessPal, and most days it does not. I've tried going thru MFP and taking it off and putting it back on, and then it stopped syncing again. Shouldn't have to remove it constantly and reconnect it! So frustrating!

WOW! Fantastic dedication...great job!

I'm getting married in June 2019 and need to lose the weight I put back on in the last couple of years ...I guess it will be 10 to maybe 15 lbs...not a huge amount, and I already have my dress and it fits fine....but I just don't want a poochy belly sticking out..plus some of my pants are too tight now. I don't have a…

I have had that issue before as well and had to resync it to myfitnesspal...sometimes I've had to delete it and reset it up again with myfitnesspal. I've also had issues where for a couple of weeks it stopped syncing the Fitbit itself to the Fitbit app, so the bracelet would show over 10,000 steps and it wasn't recording…

I need this!

I set one up to a tablet and my phone.

Water weight gain makes me crazy!! I retain water so easily so scale can go up and down within a day or two.

I don't like a lot of veggies either....and I mostly like raw ones. I find chopping the veggie I don't like into really small pieces and mixing a little of it with other stuff helps me out. There are a few I don't know that I will ever learn to like though....peas, green beans, and especially green peppers!

Very funny and entertaining! You just clarified more reasons why I'm pretty sure I could not stick to a Paleo diet.

I like to just look at the donut box also!! I don't take them, even though they usually often fabulous. I too eat the egg/turkey bacon or sausage/sandwich thin and am happier doing it. I'd probably be really hungry a little while after eating a donut and the egg sandwich keeps me full longer. I agree with the others on how…

I do it often...I use one of those microwave omelette pans and spray it with cooking spray and then mix up the egg (sometimes add an additional egg white) in the cooker and add different things like cooked turkey sausage, shredded cooked chicken breast, mushrooms, spinach, or tomatoes....sometimes a little cheese. Takes…

Yes, I used it in 8th grade MANY years ago. It did turn my brown hair lighter - not really orange though - but then as it grew out, i had a big brunette racing stripe down my part. Yikes!

Still learning on how to use this Christmas present! I just set it up a few days ago so still have a lot to learn. https://www.fitbit.com/user/33HPRQ

I'm glad to see this info, because I love the Flex (which I just got for a present) but it didn't seem to track the steps on the modified elliptical that I often use (which doesn't have moving arms). It does track well though when I'm running or walking. I may have to try the elliptical with the moving arms to see if that…

I was in the same boat, and there still many many veggies I don't like. Start out small...cut/dice the veggies up small and start adding them to various foods or salads. I used to detest tomatoes as a kid (even though I doused so many things in ketchup) and I started out cutting them into tiny pieces for salads or super…

Awesome job! Just an FYI, you might want to take them to a sporting goods store to get sharpened; it could make a big difference, because if they are used, and if they were sitting on a shelf, that the blades could be dull.

I ate waaayy too many homemade sweets and just more overall....continuously exercised except for a week when I was ill. I've been back on track food-wise for a few days now and already feel a bit less bloated. Am going to try to work hard on continuing to make better food choices!

I made this easy crockpot recipe over the weekend and it was GOOD...chicken, sweet potatoes, black beans, tomatoes, and quinoa....all healthy stuff (although I'm sure the sodium is high): http://www.chelseasmessyapron.com/slow-cooker-sweet-potato-chicken-and-quinoa-soup/#_a5y_p=2692395

Chicken, Sweet Potato, Black Bean, Quinoa soup just made it this weekend and it was very good and made a lot! I got the recipe off Pinterest (from CheseasMessyApron.com): http://www.chelseasmessyapron.com/slow-cooker-sweet-potato-chicken-and-quinoa-soup/#_a5y_p=2692395 In some of the messages below, she did post the…

I have dealt with sleep issues for years....I can usually fall asleep easily (not always though), but I often wake up in the middle of the night and have trouble going back to sleep. It seems to be a common problem from reading the other postings! It is not uncommon for me to go to bed 10:30-11:00 and wake up at 3 am and…
