I love quartering apples, removing the core area, and microwaving for 1 minute (sometimes with a slice of American cheeze fud on top). Softens them up so nicely.

*Hand up* I like staying up late and I am a East Coast person who works from home for a company based on the West Coast. My job is heavily based on interactions with other people, so I don't see the point of being at my laptop at 9 AM when the people I have to talk to aren't awake yet.

I don't see the point of limiting yourself unnecessarily. If you can be satisfied with the foods you love in the amounts you need to eat to lose and maintain the weight, why not do so?

I should have stopped reading here; this "joke" is so puerile that I don't know how I could have believed any discussion of value would be in this post. The women were at professional conferences and events associated with them. What are they meant to be held responsible for? Talking to other people in their profession…

Just to point out - at the OP's size and amount to lose even 2 pounds per week is most likely not reasonable. The difference between the OP's TDEE and the minimum healthy intake for a woman (1200) is most likely not to be the 1000 calories that a 2 pound per week loss would be.

It's funny because I know I read a thread recently where this literally happened to you (name is very distinctive). So not a cause to woo.

I have low BP - gotten slightly higher as I've aged. I do experience dizziness on standing every once in a while when standing too quickly. I do have orthostatic hypotension and as an extra bonus vasovagal syncope. The latter particularly kicks in in medical situations. I passed out 3/4 of the way through my first…

No. Just no. If you've got waste stuck to your colon walls for years, there would be major health problems.
-
Just want to re-iterate - you only have 28 pounds to lose. You will not be able to lose at a much higher rate. The calorie difference between what your body burns now to maintain your weight and the calories you will eat to lose is not large enough. You need your expectations to be more realistic.

If I'm doing the math right, you are still over 300 (400-90 lost), and you said you are netting 1700. That's low for your current weight.

1. I wouldn't read too much into non-verbal actions. How do you know they are pondering vs trying to estimate how quickly you will check out so they can get out of there? 2. Gosh - those evil people trying to make food taste good so they can help their companies stay alive and have jobs! And how awful that they also force…

+1 million in rest and get it checked. I was stubborn and did neither and the physical imbalances I dealt with from trying to avoid the pain lingered for years.
-
You think you've got it bad? It's 18 years and two state moves since I lost 50 pounds; it's going to suck going to Florida just to return it.

+1 for talk to doctor and express concerns re: loss of appetite. And I agree with the direct post above - getting calories for the meantime will be easier if they are in liquid form.

I lost 50 pounds on Weight Watchers, but as stated by someone else above it was just calorie counting under the covers. I've maintained that weight for 18 years now and am currently just sticking with "eat what I like in amounts that satisfy me and keep me within my weight range". I am definitely out of the current…

Is that healthy BMI taken from the referenced calculator? Because a general BMI calculator has 150-155 still in the healthy range for your height.

I run because I never believed I could. I run because I love having a concrete reason to get my butt off the couch. I run to get the extra calories. I run because finishing a race feels like a huge accomplishment - even though I've done it several times before. I run because I love the feeling when a run is complete…

Did the group that was created from this thread get deleted? I went to find it today and it wasn't in my lists.

With 14 pounds to lose progress is going to be slow and very easily can be masked by water fluctuations. Have patience. Keep weighing your food and be as accurate as possible.
-
No. There is no such thing as negative calorie food.

Off topic but I've been re-watching Moonlighting episodes on YouTube. Young Bruce Willis was F.I.N.E.

Uh-huh. And the links to these papers?

Shows how tastes differ; I've only had the peach and loved oit.

MFP has a low tolerance for woo. And although the message may sound rough, the intent is good. Signed, someone who lost 50 pounds and has maintained that loss for close to 20 years, while still enjoying a life with sweets + salts

You haven't heard of the wonder that is the cake sandwich.

I'd actually back it up before we get to macros and ask a.) how much do you have to lose and b.) how many calories are you eating?
-
5'2", 118, and maintaining/slowly losing on 1600 base + adding in exercise calories on top.
-
To learn how to not only lose it but to keep it off? To not feel I am suffering in the process ? For extreme levels - to not endanger my health?
-
The last line truly is the critical one. What works for you might not work for everyone. Because I eat plenty of carbs - over 50% of my diet - and my brain and body are in great condition.

I had some soft tacos recently. I love the ones I've had where it's beef + scrambled eggs. So yum.
