  • I'm 23 :) No progress for a while so in need of some motivating friends!
  • I found using the sit-down cycle machine really helped with my knees, after a few months I was able to use it without knee supports and now I never wear supports to the gym. As for squats, maybe ask the instructors at your gym how to start with them, you don't have to go to 90 degrees from day 1!
  • Ha I'm 5'6 with size UK4 (US6?) feet and high arches so not far off! If you want supportive insoles then superfeet are the best thing other than going to a specialist. They align your ankle better, therefore positioning the foot better and relieving unwanted pressure. However sounds like you'd be better off with barefoot…
  • If you're on a budget then the 30dayshred is great for starting to build muscle. It's cheap on amazon and you only need one lot of hand weights. I've got 4kg (each) but if you're new I'd buy 2 or 3kg. Also fitnessblender has a lot of free online videos. You can narrow down videos by selecting just the equipment you own.…
  • 5'6 SW: 130lbs CW: 126lbs GW: 115lbs Then I want to build up some muscle. I lost the 4 lbs in about a week (water weight I guess), but no change in the several weeks since them. I'm snacking a lot and struggling so support would be greatly loved! Last summer I was about 122lbs and had muscle so I know I can get there.
  • What's your name? --- Citti (like Kitty). Where do you live? --- London, UK. What are your food vices/ cheats? --- Chocolate, cake, brownies, my work cafe!!! What do you think is holding you back from being in your TOP shape? --- Self-control... What's your favorite exercise? When I'm fit (not now) it's running or HIIT…
  • Would increasing your finger strength help? I don't lift heavy weights so I don't know, but I do climb which requires a good grip on holds. Maybe look for the "Gripmaster" which you squeeze with one finger at a time. There's also the "Grip Saver Plus" which I don't think is as good for fingers, but might be better for the…
  • SW: 130 CW: 126 GW: 122 1 lb a week fingers crossed! Weigh in Dates: 1st Mar: 8th Mar: 15th Mar: 22nd Mar: 29th Mar: A reward, hmm, I really want a new pair of jeans, I'm between sizes at the moment!
  • WBB55: True, but walking faster gets my heart rate up so I continue burning calories for longer....? Also, I only walk 1.2 miles to work... in my case slowing down will burn 6 more calories! deadyankee: Yes actually, more than anything it's a mental thing - if I walk faster I feel more tired, therefore I feel I'm doing…
  • - I pack a lunch and take NO money with me so I can't buy snacks. If you don't have free coffee then bring exact change for one coffee. - I also keep a litre bottle of water and a glass on my desk; if I'm hungry I drink a glass first. - I eat something as soon as I get to work, usually greek yoghurt and a banana, that way…
  • Ohh man, I bought the dvd back in September and did it ONCE. Seeing all these posts is making me think I should dig it out again!
  • I'm a little closer to 5'6, but: current weight: 126lbs underbust: 28 actual waist: 27 [target 25] naval: (haven't measured this but would guess 30ish) hips: 38 [target 36] thigh: 22 (I'm a bit of a pear!)
  • Hadn't spotted this before - seems a great idea, I'll have to try properly in March. Exercise: 15hrs 47mins Remaining: 8hrs 13mins
  • Pet Peeves: Women who dress casual/slutty to work. If the men are wearing suits, why is it ok for you to wear a miniskirt and flash your bra at me? (I'm female) Phobias: Spiders. And falling - I'm great with heights, but can't cope with the stomach motion if you jump down, i.e. I love climbing but don't like rollercoasters…
  • 22... 23 in two weeks *cries*
  • If I already have make on, which is most of the time, then I keep it on. Otherwise I'd almost have nothing - just concealer on a few spots.
  • I've always had small breasts. They're technically a UK 32C but look much smaller, and shrink with weight loss. I've always considered getting them increased to a 32D or DD but the reason I haven't (this isn't to make people feel bad or make you see my view, it's just I've never seen someone else think this way so I'm…
  • Have a look in some walking/hiking shops - they tend to have active wear but sometimes more practical. I have some long sleeve tops from Rab which I wear for climbing as I'm stretching up all the time. As for crop tops look for ones with front fastening maybe?
  • I always worry about this too, but there's no way to stop it. Some people claim wearing certain clothes that focus on the thighs or stomach help you lose weight in those areas, but really that's just marketing and it's down to genetics. I'm a 32C/D at the moment but go down to a B/C when I lose a little weight. Looks like…
  • I have joint paint in my knees, wrists, and back. On top of that I enjoying climbing and when you're pulling yourself up a wall every extra kg makes a huge difference, to the point where I'm simply not good at it. As well as building muscle I want to go from 58kg to 53kg and people think I'm vain for it too - hence I've…
  • Hitchin, Hertfordshire. What are the chances of there being any local females on here who want a running buddy? I want to start but can't motivate myself!
  • I'm 5'6 with 15lbs to lose. Desperate for some motivation if anyone's got any! And I'll try encourage too - don't know how good I'll be at it yet!
  • I'm 22 (23 in 3 weeks boo hiss) and have just started on here :)
  • Hi, I'm new and just joined today. I don't have any support at the moment online or offline. I'm in the upper normal range for BMI already so if I tell people I want to lose a stone (and still be comfortably within the normal BMI range) I get judged and ridiculed for it. Anyone who can help motivate me I would be very…
