Im just going to eat back half the calories I burn from not on just in case its inaccurate. I don't normally count the after workout calories, I just happened to look at it today and thought "wow did I really burn that in 15 mins? Should I log that?"
-
I'm pretty sure i'm good. Just googled it and my HR drops off at what Is apparently considered normal time frame for someone that has done a high intensity workout (dropping around 20-30bpm).

Oh and I did the cool down at the end of the dvd (stretches and what not), then I just walked round the house until I felt my heart rate dropped off enough. I don't like just sitting straight afterward as I notice my muscles get sore the next day but if I keep moving for a while and slowly cool down it helps with that.

I did an insanity dvd, Plyometric Cardio Circuit. I have a Fitbit ChargeHR

I have a Fitbit ChargeHR. I find the hrm to be fairly accurate but it drops out a lot during high intensity workouts (I do Insanity dvd's with Shaun T) which is rather annoying because I can't get an accurate calorie count afterwards. I do like the watch for the steps factor, it definitely motivates me to move more and try…

You can add me. Mum of 4 (eldest 11yrs, youngest 20 months)

My husband is similar, he's a bit tubby and his goal is to replace the fat with muscle. My goal is to loss weight. He'll buy chips and chocolate and gets really grumpy when I serve up healthy dinners. He was supposed to take homemade lunch to work instead of buying pies and coke to save his health and also our finances but…

Thanks so much for your replies! I've just done some googling and found some sports stores near by that stock those brands. Think i'll pop down this week and try some on. Hope they don't think im too crazy for jumping around in the fitting room though haha!

Yep it can be done! Good job! I've lost 13lb in the past 2 - 3 months just eating 1400cals a day and doing no deliberate exercise.
-
The first thing I would do is throw the scales in the bin and instead visit your local gp once a fortnight and use the scales there, that way you are not focusing on those numbers. Then I would add calories slowly, 100 at first for a week or so, weigh in, see what's happening, increase again by another 100 and repeat.…

My calorie goal is set at 1200 and I burn between 400 - 1000cals from work outs 5 days a week. I try to eat back all of my exercise calories because I feel too flat if I don't eat back what I burn.
-
Thank you everyone! I'm very proud of myself :)
-
I used 3 pound weights (1.5kg) and could have done with getting something a couple pounds heavier towards the end of the shred. I lost 12.1lbs and 17.5 inches overall from my body.
-
You'll probably hurt tomorrow lol. But it will go away in a few days :)
-
Yes it is. I did it once a day but had some rest days (1 per week) a couple of time I took 2 days off. I saw noticeable change when I took my 10 day photo and compared it to my starting photo. I lost 2.5lbs in the first 7 days.
-
Yep, go for it hun! It's just 30 mins a day and just take it 10 days at a time! When you have those days when you think.... "I don't want to do it, im too tired... I can't be bothered...", those are the days that matter the most! Drag yourself through the 30 min work out and you'll feel soooo proud of yourself afterwards :)
-
I did my workouts every morning after I dropped the kids off to school and I did the full 30 days but had a rest day each week.
-
Just 30ds and 1200cal intake plus eating back burnt calories. The inches just fell off hehe.
-
I only did the 30ds as exercise. With 4 kids 30 mins a day is all I have time for :) I stuck to a 1200 cal daily intake and ate back all my burnt calories so ended up having around 1600 or so a day. I used a HRM to find out how much I burned because I read everyone on here saying they burn 200cal per 30ds work out and It…

I might have to invest in a new set of scales! Maybe mine are not weighing properly anymore.
-
I felt like giving up so many times particularly in level 1 because I hadn't worked out in such a long time and I felt really depressed too by the way I looked. So i'd come on here and i'd search the forums for 30DS before and after pics and i'd say to myself, "if she can do it, I can do it!" and "if it worked for her, it…

It's definitely worth it. Just know your limits. Listen to your body, if you get sore knees (I got one sore knee!) just don't go so deep into the exercise. By level 3 my knee felt heaps better.

Thank you so much for the wonderful comments! I got my inspiration from looking at before and after photos on here and i'm glad I can now post my photos to inspire others to try the 30ds too. It really is an awesome DVD and work out! I am definitely going to do another round at some point! I am on a 1200cal daily goal and…

I'm on level 3 day 9!! I haven't weighed or measured myself since starting level 3. I did measure at the end of level 2 and lost an overall 12.5 inches. I also notice less cellulite on my thighs plus I have muscle on my arms, thighs and abs. So awesome!! I use a HRM and burn around 400cals per session. I am on a 1200cal…

Well done everyone! For me, 10 inches lost overall so far. Scales don't seem to be giving accurate reading so might buy some new ones. Feeling great!!
-
Thank you! I've been on the website and have bookmarked some recipes to try.
-
Thank you so much everyone for the ideas! I'll definitely be adding those ideas to my recipe journal!

When I first started 3 weeks ago I kept going because I liked the feeling of being proud of myself for pushing through. But as of a week ago and my first before and now photo comparison, I now push through it because i'm excited to see my next photo comparison and see how much body has changed.
-
Thanks. I'll give that a try first. I just got a HRM today and did my workout using it. Turns out I burn 220 more calories than I've been guesstimating! So might help if I eat those extra ones back too.
