Hi, I'm newish to this, I was a member a few years ago so a bit rusty now! Glad to see so many active ladies here, hope you are all well. Looking forward to watching your posts and joining in! Heather, I'm a huge Mary Beard fan but haven't bought her new book yet. Looks good I agree! Regards, Linda in Scotland!

Hello everyone! I joined this challenge a while ago and found it very successful. I am now about to get back on track and look forward to logging my walking here. Looking forward to hearing from and supporting you all! Good luck!

Hi Ladies! I've been gone for longer than I care to remember but hope I can start up with you all again? I recognise some familiar faces and many others too! Hope you are all doing well, it seems that most of you are! Looking forward to catching up with you all! Keep well, Linda :flowerforyou:

Admittedly I've only managed to do it a few times and haven't got round to weighing yet but have to say I felt surprisingly good on 1800/500, if I can get into the routine this should work for me. I have found the UDs a bit difficult as I realise too late in the day that I have to eat more than I'm used to... Back on track…

:Hi Kel and everyone! I weighed in after my wild and whacky eating over Christmas etc and beyond... I gained only FIVE pounds despite using the add cals more than I should! Kind of cheating, I think but only cheating myself! :-)) Anyway, I now have 12 lbs to lose to get to my goal of 126 lbs. I have reset my goals and now…

Hi everyone! I've been on MFP since last March and have been really successful - up to the last 7lbs or so. I'm feeling quite happy with the loss I've made already (63lbs) but I'm pretty determined to lose the last 7. I originally set my goal at 140lbs and reached that easily and feel my ideal weight is around 126lbs. I…

You definitely CAN do it! There is more than enough evidence on this website to prove it! Good luck!

You're STILL 50, so lots of time yet! Congrats!

Do you know about this group? http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/356978-women-ages-50-for-october It's full of wonderful, chatty, happy, active and inspiring women. I must admit to being a bit overwhelmed at times, it's so busy but it's worth taking a look... I wouldn't mind joining if you're thinking of starting…

I agree! Muffins tend to be mega on calories in general, too.

I like! Thanks for this!

I'm 5'4, I think medium build - my starting goal in Feb 2011 was 140lbs. I really thought that I would never make that. I made it without faltering. I have now set my goal at 126lbs as this is what I have been happy at in the past. I have reached the dreaded plateau  and spent the last week attempting to break it.…

Hi lovely ladies! I just looked in to see you all and really - what a busy place this is! You all seem to be really positive, busy and hard working! Glad to see you all, it's been a while! Me? I've been busy too, got down to my original target weight, which was a bit heavy for me, so now I'm trying for my 'ideal' weight.…

We Scots do love our porridge but I never thought of adding peanut butter! I love peanut butter, what a great idea, and there's lots of alternatives to adding the chocolate chips if calories are tight. I love banana with peanut butter but never tried it with oatmeal... Hmmm! Definitely food for thought here, I think?…

I'm 59, weighed196lbs on 1st Feb, I weigh 139lbs today. I have beaten borderline Rheumatoid Arthritis and high(ish) blood pressure. It hasn't been easy, it takes a lot of commitment but it is definitely DO-ABLE and it can be fun! What I have done is be consistent in logging my food on MFP, walking 6 days a week around my…

All of the above are great ideas, especially the smaller portions option but what I would really LOVE in UK is to have nutritional values on or around the menu, like theydo in US. Would make fitness and weight control more user friendly and it's bound to happen here soon . I'd definitely be a regular then. I tend to shy…
