  • Dee, indoor walking certainly does count, in my book! Not sure who Leslie is though, must check her out some time! I take it I need a treadmill? The weather we're having today, that seems very attractive, I must say! Good luck with the rest of your miles!
  • Hi again! I've started to notice that we are QUITE a disparate group aren't we? That's part of what makes us so exciting, I think... Another thing is that our weather(s?) are quite different too! Just when I come home feeling damp and cold from drizzling rain, I read about temperatures of 90 degrees! Natalie, I'll…
  • Hi all - just reporting my weigh-in! I lost another pound!! Linda x
  • Hi again! My, what a busy post this is today, isn't it? I DID, in fact, manage to resist my lift home from work so my exercise ticker is correct. The pages here are whizzing by, which means everyone is inspired and happy to be getting fit, losing weight and eating healthily! Congratulations to you all! Personally, I…
  • Finished my 3.5 walk this morning and have added my walks to and from work (0.4 miles each way) Didn't count them originally but then realised they soon add up! Good luck to all...
  • Did my 3.5 miles today in the pouring rain and HOWLING gales!! Back to winter again, after the beautiful weather we had o here at the weekend! I've included my mileage for going to and from work just now, so I don't forget them when I get home tonight, after 10pm. This will also inspire me to walk instead of taking a…
  • Ouch! Hannah, I feel that! I have a problem with a chronic sprain, which I have to be very careful about, so know how you feel! Hope you feel better soon! I had a lazy Mother's Day here today and not feeling the least bit guilty! Will get back to my workout tomorrow. Good luck everyone!
  • Hi everyone and thanks for all the Mother's Day wishes - really makes it feel like a special day. I was extremely lazy today, out for lunch (Tuna and roasted vegetables), YUM! Still managed to stay within my calories limit. I forgot to mention that on my coastal walk yesterday, we saw a pair of nesting Peregrine falcons,…
  • Hi Lynne, I'm that side of the pond too and out to Mother's Day lunch soon (hopefully healthy, but...) Happy Day to all mothers out there!
  • Hi everyone! Hope all's going well with you. Forgot to mention my 4.9 miles from yesterday's walk... 8 mile walk today along the Ayrshire coast, weather unbelievably beautiful for this time of year!
  • Grandee - I know we agreed to 45 miles this month but if you want to change it, I'll go with that. Let me know if you do! I got my 8mile walk in today - along the Ayrshire coast - weather absolutely beautiful - feeling slightly weather beaten  I would have taken some pics but I got a new phone and haven't worked out…
  • Great news about your mother, Mary - glad to hear it!
  • PS pmjs mom I love your flowers! Now it really does feel like spring! Thank you!
  • Grandee, thanks for that - would be great to do it together and I'm sure we will! I did well today exercise wise - walked 4.9 miles and got my swim in thanks to support from Mary (msh0530). Altogether, I've burned 860 calories - seems a lot but then was a bit naughty at dinner time with friends!!!!! Still under my calorie…
  • Hello everyone! I got into the March page a bit late but I'm starting early this time. My walking goal has gone up from 35 miles to 45 this month, maybe a bit ambitious but the days are longer now and I feel I need to push myself a bit. I'm also thinking of going swimming maybe twice a week or so, will see how that goes.…
  • Just had a thought... No Cool Whip in Scotland but low fat Greek Yoghurt may be an interesting substitute? Mouth watering at the thought!!
  • LOVE peanut butter! Thanks for the recipe!
  • Hi Bayles I noticed your target is 45 miles for April, mine is too... Hope you get there, not sure if I'm being a bit ambitious but set last month at 30 miles and went over so.... Good Luck!
  • I'm in for the April Walking Challenge! Good luck to you all
  • Hi Neurotic Virgo! Thanks for the link for the April challenge! I've been thinking of adding new exercise routines and might take up swimming a few days a week! Sorry to hear about your burnt soles! Wish I had something like that problem over here in Scotland! I've went over my goal for March but that's not surprising as I…
  • only managed 0.8 mile yesterday - hope to make up for it today!
  • Hi! I just joined MFP and looking for tips and advice... This is great but can anyone help me to save it for later? Daft question, I'm sure, sorry in advance but I want to try it out later.
  • Another 3.5 miles this morning and lost another 2 lbs!! Seems like I'm doing the right thing despite my confusion! Good Luck everyone!
  • You look beautiful in the BEFORE photos but in the AFTER ones you are simply stunning! Congratulations! You should be proud - be VERY proud!! :flowerforyou: You're an inspiration
  • Great day for me today!! Walked 8.5 miles - well over my March Target also set a new personal best (Since 1st Feb). Trying not to be too self-satisfied and looking forward to pushing myself a bit further in the April challenge - hoping there'll be one of course!? Just ate my quarter pizza, as suggested in MFP, not sure how…
  • 19 lbs? He's a big boy! Do you count him when working out your calorie allowance? You're doing a brilliant job, must have so much energy! Good luck...
  • I'm having the day off from exercising tomorrow but expect to reach my goal by Tuesday. Anyone have any ideas about pushing themselves that bit harder? I find that I walk better and faster if I go home first after work and relax with a coffee or just some water. Just waiting for the lighter nights so I can get out more…
  • Ahah! Finally worked out the exercise ticker! Though I've started late, I now only have 8.8 miles left to do in 6 days and feeling confident of finishing easily. Just goes to show that I'll have to raise my target for next month!! Thanks to MFP for support and inspiration! :flowerforyou:
  • I've been walking away and my exercise ticker seems to be stuck on 17,4 miles. Can somebody help me? :)
  • I agree... Having that basic walk of around 45 to 60 mins is working out great for me and since I've been walking further when I have the time, the basic walk just seems like fun. Especially now the weather is picking up and birds and plants are becoming more active. Having a route planned out allows for taking in scenery…
