  • So yesterday I chose not to go to Popeye's although I really wanted some! I f**ing have to fast forward through the Popeye's commercials. I guess that is why I didn't know that they now have chicken and waffles! Thanks to this thread, I am seriously reconsidering that decision!
  • I would say that getting a breast reduction is a personal preference. I had a breast reduction when I was 19 and 180lbs. (I am also 5ft. 7.) My size was a 38EEE. The reason I chose to get a reduction was that there is a history of back problems in my family and all the women have very large breasts. By getting the…
  • I'm no expert, but based on what I've read from the book, it is not a good idea to do strength training in addition to NROLFW because the muscles need to rest. Ask your trainer to incorporate the workout in his/her plan for you!

  • Made eggplant parmesan last night and it was THE BEST eggplant parmesan I've ever had! The best part is that it wasn't greasy like you would get at a restaurant!!! Highly recommend this! Can't wait to try the chicken parmesan now!
  • I also have wide shoulders and I am seriously afraid of looking more like a linebacker than i already do. So far so good. I noticed that my chest/shoulders have not increased in inches, so that's good, although they haven't decreased either. my waist is getting smaller. I am putting my trust in the book for the full 6…
  • So excited to be starting stage 3 on Friday! looking forward to the body matrix!
  • I agree with tart. If you are not using gloves yet, start there. i learned about halfway through stage one that as I increased the weights, i needed gloves for a better grip and now i don't worry so much about the grip.
  • I've never read the book, but I have heard good things about it. I recently hit a plateau and when I talked to my doctor about it, she recommended not eating fruits late in the day and to not have anything to eat after 8. After following her advice, I have lost another 5 lbs in the last 2 weeks and 2 inches off my waist.…
  • Same here! Definitely had to start at 45 lbs! I moved up to 55 on exercise 2, but could only get to 9 before burning out. We'll see how things go when i do it today for exercise 3.

  • When I do in 2B the wide grip lat pulldown, I get this shooting pain when I am pulling down in my right forearm, starting from the elbow crease. The pain is only in my right arm. The weights do not feel too heavy, but I am afraid to increase the weights because of the shooting pain. does anyone else get this or no what i…

  • Nice job and great loss!

  • Great gains!!!
  • Feel free to add me!
  • Anyone can add me too! I love seeing the discussion of others! I'm in week 2 of stage 2 now
  • Sooo sore today! Especially in my back and my butt!!! But I feel really good!
  • Great day, my day was a lot like this! I actually started the deadlift at 115 and decreased down to 95. I ended stage 1 deadlift with 135, but after a week break and adding a box, I figured I better lighten the weights a bit. 115 still ended up being too heavy. although i did all 10, I couldn't concentrate so much on form.…
  • I try to do cardio on my off days by generally staying active. for instance, I would ride my bike to work on off days or do an at home video. However, I don't make it as much a priority as I use to. I too am at 185 (5'7) and I am really trying to concentrate at eating at a deficit, but not too much at a deficit. I follow…
  • Keep me posted on how you do on 2B1!

  • I just did stage 2A yesterday and LOVED it! I hope I feel the same way about 2B. I am sore all over again like I was in the beginning of stage 1 and I am definitely feeling it in my abs this time around!

  • Thanks you guys for the reassurance! I hear only good things about protein powder, especially as it pertains to the benefits of lifting. At worst, I've only heard indifference. I've never heard any negative side effects from it. I usually don't get enough protein so I usually have at least one shake/smoothie a day and 2 on…
  • @cowgirl, I think that actually makes sense. I felt that, as a beginner, it seemed a little odd to go straight to barbell.
  • I was confused with the squats too. I don't have the book in front of me, but I think that particular page didn't have a picture and the actual squat didn't start til the next page. Either way, I remember being confused on which squat to do for Stage 1 so you are not alone! But yeah, do the barbell squat.
  • Finally got around to making that chicken chicken fried steak and gravy! OMG, that was wonderful, and I would definitely make the gravy again for breakfast dishes! I don't know y it took me so long to make this recipe. It was VERY easy to make and is ready in less than 20 minutes, start to finish! Now I have all this…
  • For stage one, the workouts are about 30 minutes. They get a little longer when you increase your sets
  • I'd kill for those measurements!
  • Fantastic job!!!
  • Such an inspiration! You look fantastic!
  • You look fabulous in your bikini! That is my goal!
