Yup, my Golden is my walking buddy ????

You can view or download the manual from the Polar website. It has much more info in it than the getting started guide that came in the box. (Page 16- under water resistance for the FT7 Training computer). You can also check the back of the sensor. It says it is water resistance up to 30 meters. I bought the gel with my…

I have a FT7 and swim with mine all the time. Both the watch and the sensor are water resistant up to 30 meters I believe. I use my in a swimming pool. The manual just states not to push the buttons on the watch while underwater. I use the electrode gel also.
-
I use a gel as well and have not had any connection problems since then.

Also, you only get a getting started guide in the box. You will want to go to the polar.com website and read and/or download the .pdf manual. It has a lot more information in it than the guide that comes in the box.

If you bought the FT7 brand new, it will come with the strap and H1 sensor.

Do you have a Fitbit tracker or are you just using the app? I had assumed, maybe incorrectly, that you have a Flex, Zip, One or Force.
-
You can log your non-stepped base activities on MFP or Fitbit but don't do both. I log them, like swimming, on MFP but others choose to log on FItbit. The sites sync with each other so either way works.

Correct! :)

Like editorgrrl said, your Fitbit burn is your TDEE. I have also lost 35 lbs so far trusting my Fitbit TDEE along with MFP and a HRM. Eat back your exercise calories as long as you are confident that you have logged the calories burned accurately (for non-step based, non Fitbit activities). I find that MFP overestimates…

There is a Fitbit user group that is very active and several people on there have helped a lot of MFP Fibtbit users set up their Fitbit with MFP and are a great resource.

I don't know of an active group but if it were me I would make the drinks and snacks at night fit into my macros and calorie deficit goals. Which would mean figuring out how many calories you eat and drink at night and then either eating less earlier in the day or exercising more so you have the extra calories at night.…

I like dark chocolate so I always have a bag of 60% Ghirardelli baking chocolate chips on hand. I use them for making my dark chocolate banana protein oatmeal cookies. Whenever I want something sweet I just eat a couple of the chips. Each chip is only 5 calories.

I bought the FT7 brand new on Amazon for $74. Since I bought it at a decent price I decided to go with the FT7 over the FT4.

I log my resistance bands under strength so I can keep track of how many reps and sets I do (no calories burned logged).
-
I also use chocolate whey protein, silk soy dark chocolate (or sometimes half dark chololate almond and 1/2 cup unsweetened original silk almond milk), tsp of instant coffee and cup of ice and blend in blender. Coffee mocha drink that takes great!

I tend to do that as well but I have learned it is better to have a snack if I am getting hungry and I won't have dinner for another hour or two. I used to not want to eat the calories for snacks but then was so hungry I was eating too much or grabbing whatever was easily in reach when I walked in the door from work…

I have aFitbit One and love it. My sister has a Flex and likes hers but she has mentioned that it doesn't count her steps when she is pushing a stroller or shopping cart or any time she is carrying things and her arm doesn't move.

Check out Klean Kanteen insulated tumblers. You can buy a spill proof lid and it keeps your drinks cold or hot for most of the day.

I have a tailor's bunion and was having constant pain while walking or working out. Like others have said, the correct shoes help a lot. One with a wide toe box or extra wide. I love my Asics Gel Nimbus. I also just bought an All- Gel bunion guard. It slips over your little toe, made of all clear gel and works great. No…

I eat roasted chickpeas everyday! I use this receipe but change up the seasoning. I usually season with McCormick's Grill Mates Brown Sugar Bourbon, or just with garlic and a little salt. I tried a receipe for salt and vinegar once but it was too much vinegar for me (wasn't like the salt and vinegar potato chips I used to…

EA Active 2. I would rather work out at home than in a gym and I like the interaction of the Wii.
-
Roasted chickpeas (makes me feel like I am eating crunchy snacks like chips etc), frozen coffee protein shake every morning to replace the coffee with way to much sugar I used to drink.
-
If you can bring drinks in your own container then you could make a protein smoothie, or whatever you like, and bring it with you. I make one every morning to bring to work and use an insulated Kleen Kanteen tumbler. It keeps drinks cold or hot for many hours.

I buy mine at Walmart. Target also has it as well now.
