I use whey but many use soy or plant based. I love the Pure Protein Rich Chocolate. It can be bought at Walmart, Meijer, Target etc.

You can pretty much make any protein shake you want and in the calorie range you want with the basics: 1 scoop (serving) protein powder or similar product 1 cup liquid like almond milk, regular milk, water etc 1 cup of ice - reduce if you are using frozen fruit I make a chocolate mocha protein shake every morning. Looks…

Yup, I lost almost 60 lbs last year by walking. Walking about 95% and swimming etc the other 5% during the summer months. I own a Fitbit One and wear it almost 24/7.
-
Same for me as well.

On Monday I had over 15,000 steps and my FB adjustment was 332. If I was set at sedentary the adjustment would have been higher.

I have both MFP and Fitbit set at lightly active. I had them both at sedentary but i didn't like the high number of the Fitbit adjustment. It was just a personal preference as either setting is correct. The lightly active will have your TDEE higher than sedentary so your FB adjustment won't be as high. I do have negative…
I'll bet the doc read the one sensationalized article about people gaining weight using the Fitbit. Never mind they didn't touch once on proper usage of the tool in the first place, or accuracy of logging food in the second place.
Yup, I agree. I weigh my food in grams, use a Polar HRM for non step based…

Ok, so where did he write "it can't tell the difference between BMR and RMR so it just gives you RMR"? I just see where he listed multiple statements and then finished up the paragraph with "All of that is unaccounted for." I think we all are in agreement. I just don't want someone who is trying to learn what and how…

LOL.. Many people are brand new to owning a Fitbit so when someone writes something (like BMR is not accounted for) they are going to think he meant what he wrote. Bottom line is that no device is 100% accurate. Many of us have been using Fitbit's for a long time now. I don't know about the new styles with the HMR but my…

Fitbit does include your BMR. Go to the Fitbit website and click on "log" at the top of the page and then activities - calories burned. It will show how many calories you burn while sleeping in 5 minute intervals. For example mine shows I burn 4.2 calories every 5 minutes while doing nothing. 4.2 X 12 = 50.40 calories…

I have had a Fitbit One for over a year now (linked to MFP the entire time). I have lost 57 lbs last year by trusting my Fitbit total calorie burn (TDEE) in conjunction with a calorie deficit on MFP. I am now in maintenance and using my Fitbit TDEE as my calorie goal to eat each day and I am holding steady in maintenance.…

I buy my PB2 at Target or Walmart. I love the Chocolate PB2 mixed with water and dip a banana in it.

If I need to get more steps in the evening I just jog in place while watching TV. Even if you jog during commercials you can get a lot of steps in.

It didn't fix it permanently for me at first. It took a while. Email said it,could take up to 24 hours because of the backlog. If it has been longer than that I would email them. I created a cardio exercise on MFP yesterday for 1 minute and 1 calorie and my Fitbit continued to sync as long as I left that activity logged.…

I emailed MFP and they responded back today. Here is a copy and paste (May take up to 24 hours to work due to backlog): Our apologies for any problems you have been having. We are aware a hiccup between us and Fitbit syncing which may have caused users to lose their access token. Refreshing your token will hopefully get…

Updated to add: When I synced my Fitbit with my iPhone it erased my Fitbit adjustment that I was able to get to show up on MFP this morning. (See previous post) The only fix I have been able to do is to create a cardio exercise in MFP. I named it Manual Fitbit Adjustment. I entered in 1 minute duration and 1 calorie burned…

Finally fixed mine this morning and is currently working. (I did email MFP yesterday and just got an automated message back for now.) I have been syncing my Fitbit with my iPhone and iPad for the last 9 months with no problems, but this morning decided to find my dongle and sync with my computer. Didn't do anything at…

Your fix isn't working for me :(

My Fitbit hasn't' synced with MFP since last night. I have been using my Fitbit for about 9 months now and this is the first time it hasn't synced for an extended period of time. Hopefully it will get fixed soon.

I have had my Fitbit and MFP linked for almost a year now and have not had any problems. I just checked my iPhone app and it shows "Don't track steps" under steps. I linked my Fitbit to MFP through the website but also use my iPad and iPhone app. Never had to disconnect and reconnect and it does show my Fitbit adjustments…

One year ago I was 53 lbs heavier and wearing these jeans. (I need to update my profile pic one of these days as it was taken in July)

If you have a Wii, try EA Sports Active 2. You can find the complete kit on Amazon or Ebay for cheap now.

Bump, looks delicious!

I substitute 3/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce for 1 cup of oil. Very moist and it does cut down on the calories.

Sounds good but how to do crack an egg and then divide it in 3/4? Why not just use 4 eggs?

Great! I know how you feel. I was at a 2 week stall as well and dropped over a lb in the last 2 days. I am set to lose under a lb a week now so the weight is coming off slower but it does feel good to see the scale moving in the right direction again!

Bump - yum!
