Yup...add it as a food! One thing to consider tho is if you are nursing a young baby vs older baby. I nurse 3-4 times a day(8 month old) and it adds 200 cals. If you are nursing an older baby, you most likely aren't needing 500 calories more a day....just an fyi

Thanks again everyone....Its so great to have this support. I didn't for one second think of giving up or binging or anything like that, which I would have years ago! I am going to plug along and keep doing what I am doing!

Thanks everyone...i am realistic in that I know I'm not going to lose EVERY week...i just was a bit bummed that so early on in the game, I have already experienced no decrease on the scale. (in my past experiences with losing weight, I tend to lose for a couple of months then get the stall). And I realize the hormonal…

Definitly! I completely understand and expect it to fluctuate. Just didn't know what the general "rule" is to changing your daily caloric requirements. If I can keep mine at 1800 or so, I will for as long as I can! I am also breastfeeding still so I have no intention of reducing my cals soon!

You could be right misslibbyh...as I really didn't eat any cals burned last week. I am also ovulating (sorry TMI) and I always retain fluid when i do...so that could be it too. I could try eating SOME burned cals back. I will leave my daily cals alone for awhile until I consistently stop losing. Thanks

Okay..thanks What was interesting was on week 2, I wasn't feeling great so just ate my cals, didn't exercise (actually exercised once), and lost 3 lbs! Then following week, I worked out 5 times in the week, ate well, and lost 1.5 lbs. Don't get me wrong...happy with both numbers, but wonder if I am eating too many cals? I…

So perhaps, if I am counting on losing "numbers" maybe I should start this later on into my journey? I get 4-5 workouts a week now doing various exercises ...boxerfit, workout with a trainer, spin, walking, and gym workouts.

I too am breastfeeding my 8 month old and DO NOT cut calories too much or your supply will suffer. Nourish your body with tons of meat, veg, fruits, etc to keep up your supply. And WATER WATER WATER!! I didnt' know you can add breastfeeding as a "food" to allot for cals...i wasn't eating my calories from nursing b/c i…

I too am so confused about eating or not eating my calories from exercise? I mean, i have 50 lbs to lose, so is it THAT vital that I eat those burned calories? it's not like I am in starvation mode (eating 1800 cals a day). Wouldn't it make more sense to not eat those calories (unless I was super hungry of course). I have…
