5'2 and eating 1300 calories a day to lose 1 pound a week. I do half hour cardio and half hour resistance training 4-5 hours a week but don't eat back my calories unless I'm having a hungry day

At 5'2 1200 calories is fine, I'm the same height with 50+ lbs to lose and 1200 calories only equates to a loss of 1.2lb a week . 7 lbs in a month is great. Us shorties can't eat as much as other people so, as the previous poster said, don't worry about comparing yourself to anyone else. Well done on your loss so far.

I've been on around 1200 calories for about a month now and haven't suffered for it. I have a 200 calorie breakfast (usually porridge), 300 lunch (sandwich and a yoghurt), 400-500 at dinnertime so I can eat the same as my partner and still have a couple of hundred left for snacks throughout the day (crisps, cereal bars,…

Height - 5 foot 2 Deadline - December 2016 CW - 183 lbs GW - 105-133 lbs Lost so far - 13 lbs I eat around 1200 cals a day and do a cardio workout and a JM exercise DVD around 5 days a week. Will decide on my goal weight when I get somewhere close but anywhere in the healthy weight range would be a good start

I do a HIIT circuit training DVD like 30 day shred 4 nights a week and a longer cardio session with weight training at the weekend. Planning to add a morning cardio when I get a cross trainer bike in the next couple of weeks.

The FT4 is my first HRM so I have nothing to compare it to but I love having a more accurate way to log that calorie burn. I thought the chest strap would be a hassle but you don't even notice it and it's easy to change your weight stat on the watch as the numbers go down.

There are some yoga moves for tightening your neck that I do everyday in hopes of reducing my double chin. Firstly put your head back and raise your teeth towards your nose 10 times then put your head back and grin widely 10 times, it only takes a couple of minutes so worth a try right?

I'm getting a cross trainer for home in a couple of weeks and I fully intend to start sleeping in gym clothes so I can have 5 minutes longer in bed before a morning workout

I'm 5'2 and 188lbs and just over 1800 calories a day is my maintenance so if you want to lose you probably need to eat less. Unfortunately us shorties just can't have as many calories. Have you set your goals as recommended by MFP? You could go for half a pound a week so you can eat more and then any exercise you manage to…

Thanks for all the advice :) I'm going to research some new dumbbells, maybe get some adjustable ones so I can up the weight as I go. I'd read women should start around 1.5kg so thought I might be a freak for lifting a lot heavier! And at least I learnt to spell dumbbells right now lol

I currently workout 5 days a week but only for about 1/2 hour or so, working up to longer slowly as I still need to drop a lot of weight I guess I'm looking for definition rather that bulk so I'll try more reps I guess
