^^^ This My first impression upon reading this thread was that many of you probably don't use a food scale or overestimate the amount of calories you burn from exercise. If you weight isn't changing, try finding ways to better estimate the calories going in vs the calories going out (ie, no more bites of things here and…

As for shoes, I go with Merrell. They're not necessarily cheap, but they're good quality. And I get them from 6pm.com so they're cheaper there than they are from the Merrell store.

JC Penney is by far my favorite but I also love the stuff at Target! Both are really good quality (ie, wearing a pair of pants from JC Penney that I bought over a year ago today. Only problem is that they're too big now)

I love putting nutella on toast with bacon. Salty. Sweet. Delicious. And, I'm short, so I put the Nutella on the top shelf of the cabinet. Usually my laziness keeps me away from it for a while... usually.

I LOVE beer and I love burritos and all kinds of other food! I agree that moderation is the way to go. I can't cut these things out for life, so I choose not to cut them out when I'm losing weight. I greatly reduce them but I'll never do away with them.

I don't cook a lot and I'll admit that I rely on frozen meals quite a bit. But, if you do that, really watch the sodium. Sometimes it's kinda outrageous how much salt is in these things.

You might want to try taking small steps to getting healthier. For instance, challenge yourself to walk a few days a week instead of doing an intense workout regime right away or find ways to make your favorite foods healthier. Another thing I've found helpful is group fitness classes if you have a gym membership. They're…

I've actually noticed that I have become quite a bit warmer. Granted, I used to have very poor circulation and I work out a lot more now, so I could just have better circulation now making me warmer. But I also have about 30-40lbs to go, so I might notice a change closer to my goal weight.

If you don't have access to a refrigerator at work, you can always buy some fruits and vegetables and dry them using your oven. You can do this with apples, strawberries, kiwi, mango, pineapple, etc. For vegetables, I've never done that but I've heard of people using kale and zucchini. You can look up tutorials on how to…

I love blogilates! She is such a positive person and her workouts are incredible.

Not worth it, even if it is just $20 a month.

Love the outfit! Congrats on fitting into your skirt!

How do you make me hate you but love you at the same time?!

Too soon... too soon

I've never been part of Planet Fitness, but I think the de-registration process goes something like: Bone of the father, unknowingly given Flesh of the servant, willingly sacrificed Blood of the enemy, forcibly taken

Tbh, I just started drinking diet soda. I know people think it's worse for you than regular soda (hint: not really) but if you're truly struggling with it, you might look into going to diet soda for a little while and then cutting it off completely. It's about baby steps sometimes.

One of the biggest tricks that helped me succeed in the long run was learning that going over one day was not the end of the world. I had an issue with going over by 100-200 calories and then furthering my own sabotage by eating even more because "I already failed, might as well keep going." But then, somebody posted…

Hi there! I'm 24 and I've been here off and on for a while (fell off the wagon a few times, but back at it) and I'm always open to having more friends! I have successfully lost 60 lbs and I want to lose 30-40 more, hopefully by the beginning of next year. Add me if you'd like!

I actually started exercising more to manage my mental health but I did definitely used to be part of the "I ate pizza, now I have to spend forever in the gym to make up for it." That made me miserable and made me hate exercise. Once I got past this, I began to love exercise so much that I now teach exercise classes at my…

Don't mind how weird my pictures are, I'm a weird human being Here I am around 220, which was my highest weight This one is close to 195 About 180 And my most recent ones around 165. I would completely re-do my last conversation with my mom. She passed away about a year and a half ago and our last conversation was about her getting out of the rehabilitation center she was in for physical rehabilitation. She was upset that she had to stay longer than she wanted and my response was (more-or-less) that it…

I get this any time I exercise, so I assume it's because I'm a mouth-breather

This! If you have a gym membership, it's likely there are group fitness classes and yoga will be one of them. I personally do yoga, run, and do spinning classes (which I teach) and I find that they complement each other very well.

I'm 5'1 and 160 as well (down from 220) and watching calories and becoming more active has worked like a charm for me!

I want to be 135lbs by November 5, which is my 25th birthday. That's only 25 lb from where I am now but I'm very happy to take slow.

I had the same concerns. But OP, you'll find plenty of success stories where people have eaten back exercise calories and have had success (myself included). Just make sure you're not logging them twice. My fitbit usually estimates lower than my HRM, so I use the fitbit estimation and log 1 calorie from the HRM so I can…

If you're following MFP correctly, though, you're already set at a deficit which is what you need to lose weight. For instance, my TDEE is somewhere close to 2100 calories and I eat 1500 or fewer, meaning I can lose weight without exercising at all. If losing at 1500 has been successful and I burn 200 more and eat back…

At first, I just wanted to be hot. But now I just want to be fit. If I do live long, I want to still be able to run and lift weights and do yoga. My mom struggled with her weight and had mobility problems due to how heavy she was and how much back pain she had (from surgeries) and I don't want to end up like that. My mom,…
