  • I had a good workout with TaeBo Ultimate (just the 60 min. not the 90 min.). Billy Blanks kicks my rear!
  • I also feel your pain! I teach so am off for the summer. My kiddies get up at 7:30 or so and my husband has already been gone for work an hour. My husband then gets home at 5:30 or 6 at night. I have two toddlers and they take both of our energy to get fed, bathed and in bed by 7 or 8. I have been walking for an hour daily…
  • I am in the same boat. What is working for me is cutting up a run. That is, run to a specific landmark and walk. Walk to another landmark and then pick it up again. The next week, pick new landmarks. I run in a cemetery. Morbid, I know, but I pick new headstones every week! :embarassed: I'm getting there. Created by…
  • I am usually a hundred or so calories short everyday. I chalk it up to underestimating my portions. I try not to have more than 200 left a day, unless I have a really intense workout later in the day.. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie Counter
  • Walked uphill and downhill for 70 minutes pushing a double stroller and two 32 pound toddlers. I think I got 4 miles in... The sweat just rolled off. I think Iowa is really a tropical rainforest in this humidity.
  • Why not?! Occasionally, this is ok. To keep myself sane, I have pizza once a month. BUT, you can make it healthier. I order it with half the cheese (I don't miss it!) thinner crust and all veggies. I eat a big healthy salad before hand and don't feel like I need to stuff my face. Moderation is key. If you make healthy…
  • I pop a big bag of Jolly Time Healthy Pop every night. I could air pop my own, but I need portion control. I top it with butter spray and a little sodium free salt. Delish!

  • flatbread wrap with chicken breast/black beans and salsa. Sugar free jello for dessert.
  • I love my Saucony shoes. I have flat feet and they have a ton of support. I went to a running store and had an expert fit me with these.
  • I just bought Ultimate Tae Bo. It's 90 minutes and tests your endurance. One of those dvd's that you do only a few times a week. I'm working my way up to the 90 minutes, but I love it. Serious calorie burner. If you like the classic Tae Bo, this is a good one.
  • I looked it up on several different websites. For my weight, it said anywhere from 450 to 700 calories for "moderate" Tae-Bo per hour. I don't know how much you weigh, but Tae-Bo burns more than aerobics, so I think you are underestimating yourself!

  • Hang in there. I have two toddlers at home and there are times I fear I'm losing it. I take them for a lot of walks and, even though I am at home for the summer, my oldest (2 1/2) still goes to daycare a few hours a week. I love my kids, but it takes a lot out of me!

  • Honey, I'm with you. :explode: After having my last baby I have been stuck with the last 20 pounds for 5 months. I am 5'5'' and 152. I eat almost all of my exercise calories a day and, due to a past ED, will not weigh myself until the end of the summer. I know my metabolism is slow. I eat right, exercise right and have…

  • I walked this morning for 60 minutes before the rain came AGAIN. Everyday this week it has severely stormed here in Iowa. Luckily, I've been able to squeeze a good walk in between torrents of rain, lightening and hail :grumble: . My poor dad's crops are swimming out there. Anyone else in any other state like to get some of…
  • Checking in... Did an hour this morning pushing a double stroller and sweating my rear off. I wish they had calories burned/stroller as an option! Just finished another 40 minutes with DH and kids. Not as fast (he's slow:grumble: ), but it'll have to do. Keep it up fellow walkers!
  • Okay guys, you've inspired me. Now that I'm done with school, Operation "Walk my Butt Off" has begun. I did 40 minutes of Tae Bo this morning and was going to call it good. I got motivated by all of you and instead of walking to pick up my daughter from daycare, I hoofed it for an hour and ten minutes. Right now in Iowa…
  • I've never been disappointed with Saucony running shoes. I run and walk in them both. I've worn out 4 pair in the last two years. I have a very high arch and they are supportive of that. They also stop my pronating as well. They are a bit pricey, but worth it! I was fitted at a running store for these. That's the best…
  • Didn't mind giving up: red meat chocolate full-fat cheese the salt shaker white pasta fried food any baked goods (cookies, doughnuts, etc) regular soda (can't stand it now) Still bothers me: ice cream (now occasional froz. yogurt--when I'm pregnant all bets are off) pepperoni pizza (now whole grain veggie) sugary cereals…
  • I look at it like this: I don't eat red meat, high-sodium foods or other fatty foods. I exercise 5-7 times a week. I have 20 lbs. to lose after having two babies in 2 years. If I want crystal light or any other water additive, I'm going for it.
  • If I ever regain my weight, pizza will be the culprit! Amen to Lean Cuisine Gourmet brick oven mushroom pizza. I feel very satisfied when I eat one of those. I also make my own "pizza" using Carbdown Flatbread (90 cals). I top it with pizza sauce, mushrooms, sometimes canadian bacon and lf mozz. cheese. I broil it in the…
