Hi there please feel free to add me. I'm in the duagnosus phase after 10 years of suffering. My first calprotectin test came in high I'm awaiting retest. I gad a sigmoidoscopy flexible and a failed colonoscopy due to pain. I'm very afraid. it's interesting because I've put lots of weight on they were adamant I didn't gave…

A host of health problems.... none will get fixed by weight alone but I'm sure not dragging around an extra few stone will help. Also, whilst I don't see myself seeking a new partner any time soon - my split with my ex has made me look long and hard at how I feel about myself...which wasn't good. Health and future…

I've done Eat Stop Eat in the past a couple of years ago. It was effective for me. For health reasons over the last 18 months I've had a gain. I've done both 20:4 and 16:8 but as with the others above I split my feeds down into several meals. I didn't die of hunger, hit the starvation mode (myth complete myth) myth, kill…

Fab hUn! I'm going back on Monday as I got requested to come back again to talk seriously to the doctor and then the nurse about my cardiac health. I lost both grandparents on mum's side to sudden heart attacks. Nanna on dad's side to a stroke. Mum's got TIAs now had her third and dads got CVD. Mum has suspected COPD. I'm…

This was an incredibly interesting thread and I thank all contributors. I have inflammatory bowel. The SSRIs I've taken a significant amount actually caused ulceration and scarring on my gut. Even simulated levels I was unable to uptake. Sertraline and the SNRI Duloxetine were the most affective in mental health capacity…

Hi all I'm keeping an eye on this thread. Although I've had debilitating pain for months, I was diagnosed on 30th November. It's alien to me this body. This runner who was planning a Tough Mudder in January. I had a hospital stay recently I was literally trapped on my bed on waking by pain that hit 11 every milometer I…

Hi again, just a quick post to say I've lost another 2lbs. I'll open up my diary so you can see if you like. I'm not starving or even at 1200 I'm often eating more than this but just simple walking lots is helping. Also plenty of fluids. You'll see I have a mean snacking streak - I do snaffle sweets. I'm starting to get…

Please see my new profile pic! Shows the turbulent ups and downs - you can see the sharp rise from new regime, however look at that lovely dip on the right I'm on my way back down

Hi TehLaughingDog, I'm sorry to hear of your ongoing illness. My diagnosis is mixed depression, hypomania (query Bipolar 2 or cyclothymia) with Emotionally unstable personality traits and PTSD. It's a battle right? I've been on this roller coaster over 10 years now but only had a psychiatrist and the correct help since…

I'm on Seroquel ( quietiapine) it's really interesting you mentioned carbs specifically. I've been upped on my regime and put on immediate release and not MR SR or XR and the sickness nausea has been high. To be honest I have to admit I only read the ' get emergency help now' side effects as I used to get sk paranoid and…

Yes, several of this type of medication are known to have metabolism effects. Mirtazipine for example is used in the treatment of anorexia nervous as an appetite stimulant. I have regular bloodworm done to monitor for signs of diabetes and non alcoholic fatty liver. Yes, these types of meds alone CAN cause weight gain,…

Hi friend. I am so sorry to read of your struggle. I get mixed depression and hypomania. I completely understand how you mention your mood affects your exercise and making yourself a priority. I have a lot of health problems too. Perhaps you might add me and I can help to support you. My evening regime has been the hardest…

I've seen lots if different pictures of DH and a couple have been similar to mine, little…

HI lovelies! I'm so sorry for the delay. Well I officially feel awful the blisters on my hands have come back out and my head and my hairs falling out. I am waddling walking around like 9 months pregnant with raging pins and bleeding frequently from my bowels. Whatever is going on wheat and or gluten DEFINITELY play a…

I eat predominantly non-meat (often non egg and other things - still sorting out what I am). Anyway, I agree with the others calories in calories out. I have treats, I eat carbs, I eat fruit sugars I even eat normal sugars. As long as I burn more than I use I lose. Water, lot's of water. Seriously, eat whatever you want. I…

PS - my profile pic is my latest chart, as you can see I had a massive drop in Dec due to illness, then a climb, but then a steady decline, a plateau or two - your body is a natural thing, you have to realise it doesn't always respond as you want it to. I have made my peace with this.

I weigh daily but completely agree with @Ravachu

Should say fritata. ..
