Sept 18: 4242 Steps. My worse day since I got my Fitbit back in February but I think I kinda needed it.

I'm 52 and that motivates me more, not less, to try and look the best I can. I didn't have to make an effort when I was in my 20's but I don't want to to be a frumpy old woman so I now dress better than I used to, try to keep in shape, etc. Never too late.

How was this post a tirade? It was expressing a concern. And I'm sure a lot of people who will read it will see themselves reflected. Will probably do nothing anyway. People who undereat feel they are on a mission and won't listen to anyone. I have a young cousin that has issues with anorexia. They sent her to spend a…

I like Newtons.

I think because most diets fail. I know this is not scientific but I bet you can look at your life and find the same to be true: 99.9% of the people I personally know who have weight problems will always have them. The most close example is my son who started real strong (did a supervised VLCD for 14 weeks) and during the…

I don't know why people do that but they do and I don't think it's conscious. I always advice my dieting friends not to let anyone know they are on a diet and to act surprised if anyone mentions they look like they lost weight.

If you have been ill there's not much you can do about that. Just keep on keeping on. No feelings of disappointment because those often lead to wanting to quit.

5'6" at my lowest I was 100 lbs... Not on purpose and not a pretty sight. Believe it or not, becoming vegetarian is what helped me gain weight. Eventually got to 120 lbs, which I consider my ideal weight. Then, due to the aftermath of a severe vitamin D deficiency I got to 140. Right now 118.5.

I too have been known to have bought in the kids section and I'm within my healthy BMI. I wonder what that says about kids today. Can only buy t-shirts, though because otherwise sleeves or pantlegs are too short.

I'm big boned. So much so that I once had a car hit me while in my bicycle and the doctor at the ER felt it necessary to show everybody the X-ray of my huge (yet unbroken) bones. That said, I am very thing but I do have bones jutting in every direction and very pronounced hips, collarbones etc. I think I look wider than…

I like that conceptually but I just input my measurements and it comes up with sizes from 6 to 10 when I have not found a place where I can wear anything bigger than a 2 (including some of the ones they suggest 10 for). Maybe I'm a mutant

It's been going on for a while but what makes it even more ridiculous is that while I am now bigger than I was 20 years ago I sometimes cannot find stuff that is small enough. I was recently looking for some shorts at target and the smallest size they had was 2 and they were too big for me. when I was 20 lbs lighter 20…

Got back home and was able to walk quite a bit. Of course, the first place I walked to was the ice cream store :blushing: Sept 8: 28,609 steps

Yogi, Egyptian Licorice. It's naturally sweet. Tastes like having dessert.

Sept 7: 14,433 steps. Going home today and not going to the gym. Hopefully I will feel well enough after the flight (I have to take something for anxiety) that I will be able to go for a nice walk around Boston. Otherwise, it might be my worse day yet

I look at pictures at my worse and at my best. Also, a favorite piece of clothing that does not fit or that is ill fitting can be a great aid. As shallow as it sounds I focus on how I look rather than thinking of health benefits and that seems to help. Of course, then there's the added bonus of feeling better. If you are…

I will continue eating real pizza and just trying to be mindful. That said, I love cauliflower and am real curious. Can we have that recipe?

Regular Hellman's. So yum. I just measure it and log it.
