You would be surprised how much you can do. Here's a real funny (but true) article by David Sedaris http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2014/06/30/stepping-out-3

If you do buy a fitbit (I have one and love it) they are are cheaper on Amazon than on the Fitbit website but Fitbit still backs them up should something happen to it.

I think your last paragraph says it all: Why should you defend the way you eat? As a vegetarian myself I don't feel like I have tell people what I eat or don't. Even when I'm invited to dinner somewhere I don't tell people I'm one unless they specifically ask me if I have any dietary restrictions. If they don't I will…

Yay for motivation. I want to beat my average for September so October's average will be (I hope) 18,000 or more. Needless to say, I'm in.

I own a vegetarian cafe and, no word of a lie, I have vegan costumers who are grossly overweight. You can be a vegan and still eat a lot of calories and junk food.

Happy 50th. I'm 52. I try not to eat everything in sight (I only eat half of everything in sight) and I walk A LOT. I should probably be doing resistance training but been lazy and have all kinds of excuses. I'm in pretty darned good shape, though.

I own a diner and go for breakfast there Tuesday to Sunday which are the days we are opened and I have eggs. On Mondays I sometimes make my own eggs or I go to a competing diner in a different town. Been eating like this for years and far as I know I'm alive and healthy. I think the problem might be if you have a problem…

It sounds like the real reason for this post is because you are into punishment, seeing as to how you both foresee it and then make a plea for it

One way to minimize the problems with soy is to eat it in fermented form such as tempeh or nato. Supposedly that is better for you. It is also delicious.

Congrats. I bet they were amazed :)

Sept 19: 16,773 steps. Today there will be time spent in a car and the day after in a train. Let's see how much I can do in spite of that.

You don't have *time* to go to a doctor? I would seem to me that your health should be more important that whatever else you are doing.
-
Looking good. Great job :)

Why do you have to lower your goal? You look tiny (as in good tiny)
