I have 3 boys that love spaghetti, but I try to avoid/limit my pasta, so instead of pasta I put spaghetti sauce on raw spinich and I love it. Psychologically , its not spaghetti, but a good work around.

Goals for the day: Steps 8500 Day 10 of 30 DS with 5lb weights Stay within Calories 8 8oz glasses of water today Confession, I logged yesterdays (Mondays) results for today. I got mixed up with time differences and just picked the most recent posts without reading closely. Today will be a better day, and its not raining…

Add me! I'm 5'5", 136.8lbs currently, down from 150 in 2/2014. I seem to average a loss of 2lbs/month. It seems like a very slow process, but I'm changing the habits and plan on keeping it off this time around!

Just added myself to the spreadsheet. Thanks for the invite and getting this going!

okay, so I just joined today - I did go out for a walk in the rain, but I don't think I'll make my goal today of 8k steps. I guess there's not a spreadsheet to log your steps.....or am I just missing it. Better effort tomorrow.

Hi Everyone, my name is Dawn and I'm from Seattle, WA. My goal is to lose 7 lbs by 2015. I plan to achieve this by continuing to log and keep my calories at 1200, continue walking with an average of 8k steps per day, finish out the Jillian Michaels 30 DS in October and then I will find another workout challenge. Originally…

Just looking at your diary, it looks like you're eating a lot of processed food (especially in the morning). I would try increasing your protein - it will help your blood sugar levels, and because it takes longer to digest you will feel fuller longer. And, if you are accurate with your logging, I would agree that you…

Thanks for the info, I've been looking for this info for a while!

Not to worry, I started last February on my first day of vacation in Hawaii. I didn't lose any weight that week, but I also didn't come home 5+ lbs heavier! I was just conscious of everything I was eating. So enjoy a small slice of the cake and maybe go for a walk sometime that day. Its all about balance.

I completed it at the end of July, did not lose weight, but did a lot of toning - especially in my abs. I am planning on starting it again on 9/1/14. The only caution I will say is that it is hard on your knees - this is coming from someone who has never had any issues with my knees. Might try the ripped in 30 series just…

Hi All, I found this really helpful - got this from the book "The Mummy Tummy" - written for moms to strengthen their abs after giving birth. If you know anything about kegels, this is the same idea. A great way to start strengthening the abs. You can do this anywhere that you are sitting, no stress on the back! All…

I like hard boiled eggs, string cheese and thin sliced sandwich meat (5 slices = 2oz). Those are my go-to's on days I am cutting way back on carbs and eating more protein.
-
I like to pick from the following Emerald Smoothie (Seattle only), Jamba Juice, and Subway. At subway you can substitute the bread for an egg white wrap (haven't tried it yet, but saw it this weekend). And as far as munchies for the car - I love blueberries, but apples and grapes are other good choices, and for protein -…

In addition to changing up what I am doing as far as workouts, I have found that it helps if I change my macros for 3-4 days. I keep the calories the same, but increase my protein intake and decrease my carb intake, that seems to get the scales moving in the right direction again. Take your measurements if you haven't -…

Many years ago I was told that doing situps/crunches would actually help with the cramping. I tried it and it does in fact help. It has to do with the abs contracting and working and then when you're finished they relax - hence, less cramping. Give it a shot it may work for you as well.

Great transformation! You must feel so much healthier, you sure look it!

Way to go!!!!

If you are eating at a deficit, try adding the 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels. I've completed about 15 days and am noticably losing inches all over.

I'm on day 4 Level 2, and yes my knees hurt! I noticed on Level 1 by day 4 or 5 my endurance had improved - am hoping I feel the same today when I workout. I've lost about 1.5 lbs, but I can see the difference in how my clothes are fitting and my arms are looking tighter. Keep going everyone - I keep telling myself "It's…

You might also try baking soda

Thin sliced turkey or chicken from the deli - 2 oz for a snack gives me 9 gr protein. Real simple, no cooking involved

Congratulations!!!! Great achievement.
