Yesterday's work celebration left me shy on calories, but didn't need to eat dinner after the festivities. Just had a protein shake after lifting, salvaged the day, barely. Today's plan is to drink lots of water and keep my calories down. And, get some extra steps in at some point today!

NikonPal - you can cook for me any day - those look fabulous!!!!

I'm following the book, "the new rules of weightlifting for women" The heaviest I am lifting is 45lb on the wide lateral pull downs, deadlift 35lbs, lunges 12lbs. I have to say I am not super sore the following day, so am contemplating increasing the weights, hesitated this week cuz I increased from 2 sets to 3 sets. I…

Well, for the last 4 weeks I have increased my calories from 1200 to 1500/day and I have started weight training. The scale has increased, the measurements haven't decreased, and I am getting frustrated by my lack of progress! Think I am going to change again, and only eat 1500 calories on the days that I lift and cut back…

I have the Garmin Vivofit, I like it, but it stopped syncing with my computer after 5 months. They replaced it at no charge, but may step up to the Basis Peak with the wrist HRM if it goes out again.

add me as a friend as well, my username on garmin is drmitchell. I just tried to send you a request thru Garmin, check and see if that went through.

I went with the Garmin Vivofit, wanted to have the wrist component and liked the price point better than the Basis. I did have to replace my Vivofit (at no cost to me) when it stopped syncing with my computer (had only had it 5 months). Other than that I have been very happy. However, have already decided that if it goes…

I'm up a lb as well, not bad for spending 6 days at my parents home and eating excellent home cooked meals and outside of my normal routine. Now its time to get serious and get back on track. Received my replacement Vivofit so will be able to track my steps again, YAY!!! And, I started lifting weights about a week ago so…

Was able to maintain over the weekend, even with Halloween candy. I didn't drink enough water over the weekend, so todays goal: Drink 8 glasses of water (3 down so far) Keep within calories 40 minutes on the stationary bike
-
Two soccer games to watch today, so at least I won't be in the house where I can munch, but probably won't drink as much water as I need to either! Will keep my calories within limits and see what the weather allows for exercise, either inside or out?????

I just logged in and noticed you are doing GREAT!!!! Congrats, keep up the good work!

We were without power all day yesterday, so ate out at restaurants for all 3 meals. Power came back on at 3:30 am. Just want to get back on track this week, havent made any progress all month!

Feel like I may have a cold coming on - everyone at work has been sick, it may be my turn. :( Feeling really tired, so setting my goals for the day low 9 glasses of water & stay withing my calories.

Hi All, I haven't lost anything all week so I'm gonna change it up a bit today. I'm gonna up my protein intake, and lower my carbs. Skip the 30 DS workout and just use the stationary bike and still keep my steps at 10k and 9 glasses of water.

Accomplished today's goal - it was a good day. :)

Hit my goals yesterday and have the same goals for today. In Seattle we're entering the rainy season and its getting dark so much earlier - no so enticing to go out walking after work. Guess I will start utilizing the stationary bike more over the next couple of months. Gonna push it hard to see a drop at the scale by…

Not as much progress as I would have liked to have made, but tomorrow is a new day and we have another 10 days ahead of us. I start level 3 of the 30 DS tomorrow, only 10 days left - hopefully this last 10 days will help meet my goals. Am going to try to cut way back on the carbs and up the protein for 2 days this week.…

Day 18 was a bust! Came home and was falling asleep on the couch, never did my work out, only made around 4200 steps and not enough water. I'll try to make yesterdays goals today.
-

-
Great job everyone! Yesterday went well, got in over 11, 400 steps, 64 oz of water and did day 8 of Level 2 DS. Hope to keep the momentum up today.

MFP isn't about starvation. You have to change your eating habits so the weight loss is sustainable. My advice would be to try to make fruits and vegetables the bulk of what you eat, keep your protein levels up. Cut back on bad carbs ( processed foods). Keep your calorie intake at a deficit of what you're burning. A…

Hi! My name is Dawn & I'm new to the group as well. My original goal was 135, I'm 2 lbs away but want to lower it to 130 and continue to tone. I'm fighting the hands of time and a body that had 3 kids. But I can do this. Need all the support I can get!

Add in a walk this evening and give yourself some extra calories to make up for the muffin.
-
Goals for the day:* 64oz of water * Stay within calorie limits * Complete day 7 of Level 2 30 DS * Take at least 9400 steps Hope everyone has a fabulous Wednesday, try to take an extra couple of steps today, even if it just means walking around the office! Cheers! :)

I was on target as well. Accomplished my goals, which were staying within my calorie count, doing day 6 of Level 2 30 day shred, took over 9000 steps and drank 8 glasses of water. Time to call it a night and start again tomorrow!
