It hurts when I go to sit/stand. It's not like muscle soreness, more like a light shooting pain.

On pill, so only makes a difference on my week off it. Atm I'm drinking green tea when I'm still hungry, and hoping it sorts itself back out again

Les Mills has become my life line. Classes are fun and instructors are motivational. I've gone up to doing 8 classes a week; Attack once, Pump x3, Combat, Spin, Balance x2. My fitness has improved, and more wobblier bits have started to tighten up a bit. My clothes fit better, and friends, family and colleagues have…

Spread with a tablespoon of pesto and bake, serve with roasted med veg, such as courgettes, tomatoes, red onion, or make a sauce from chopped tomatoes, tbsp balsamic vinegar, onion and olives, serve with polenta or new potatoes a veg.

I don't eat fruit after lunch time, main fruit i eat are apples, bananas and berries, and eat a lot of wholewheat carbs eg, bread, pasta, rice, all wholewheat. How many calories I eat depends on my activity level for the day. I aim to eat back around 1/2-2/3 of my exercise calories.

I did it!!!! I attempted my first Insanity class last night. It was indeed totally insane, yet somehow fun. My face was a very interesting colour by the end.
-
thinking of doing an Insanity class at my gym, but nervous as looks like have to be super fit to get through it and im 28lbs over weight. Concerned about injury.
-
Anyone tried Insanity?

I eat about half of my workout calories back

I really didn't think you could lose weight from your feet... oh well, a loss is a loss

I guess one day wont hurt. I'd be so embarrassed if I fainted or was sick. Tuesdays are rest days for me, so I might leave it until Wednesday for getting back into it. However, means I'm missing one of my two big cardio days.

Yeah. That's what I read when I was looking into it too. However, exercise on a belly full of carbs makes me feel sick, and I don't always have enough time to eat the recommended 2 hours before. An apple with a tbsp peanut butter is a good pre snack I find, some nuts. Something with carbs but not heavy. Everyone's…

it's so frustrating. My concern is that if I skip it , it will be the start of my falling back into old habits. I may go and attempt the cardio class, but miss the weights as included lots of stomach/core exercises.

I tend to avoid heavy carbs before a workout as make me bloat and can cause me to feel sick during. If working out at night I usually have a small meal before that's low in cards, such as fish and green veg, or omelette and salad with a black coffee. I have a protein bar and a banana straight afterwards. When working out…

No, I don't feel sick, but stomach still a bit sensitive from cramps.

I often work out in the evenings. Two evening a week I go to the gym between 6.30 and 8.30. I eat a light dinner and a back coffee an hour and half before, so soon as I get in from work. This is usually some kind of protein and vegetables, such as fish and green veg, omelette and salad. I steer clear of anything carby that…

it's been about 3 weeks of not change, so fingers crossed it's just temporary

my diary is empty as I had to change my username, I have had to start logging anew.

I weigh carbs, generally allowing 70g cooked rice or pasta or 100-150g potato. I mix pasta with sliced courgette, green beans etc to give the illusion that I'm eating more pasta than I am. I don't weigh green veg, as use it to fill me up. it's been 3 weeks of the scale not moving.

any suggestions on how I could up the protein without taking in too much fat and calories? I think my main meals are ok, but I seem to be low on protein for breakfast and lunch. I need quick options, or things that can be made the night before.

It could quite possibly be in my head. Filling out the tracker, recipie hunting and cooking from scratch all the time, basically means im constantly thinking about food. Maybe whenever I think im hungry I should just have a glass of water and see what happens.

You can still eat your cooked breakfast, as long as you grill everything and demonstrate portion control. I treat myself to a cooked breakfast on Sundays. 2 grilled bacon 2 scrambled eggs 100g mushrooms 1 slice wholegrain toast tomatoes or spinach to get at least 1 of 5 a day in there. Works out at about 450 calories. So…

Thanks , all great ideas

Im in the UK so that's not an option sadly. Im on the look out for things similar to this though, but im trying to avoid actual diet products, as theyre full of crap and taste terrible

i used to be in your position. I couldnt stand fish, the smell or the taste. But i decided to wean myself onto it, due to the healthy benefits ie low calorie, low fat, high protein, omega oils etc. Any white fish doesn't taste very fishy. I like to use cod or Pollock or hake, and bake in the oven, topped with homemade…

Are you eating back your calories burned through exercise? I go to the gym 3-4 times a week. I record the exercise that ive done on the exercise part of this site and then MFP adjusts my calorie allowance accordingly. My daily allowance is 1650, but I earn an extra 300-400 calories on the days I exercise. I don't eat them…

I plan my meals for the days backwards. So I work out what I want to have for dinner , then split the rest between lunch and breakfast. Usually about 400 breakfast and lunch (including coffee, tea and juice for the day). Which leaves me about 800 for the rest of the day. Usually broken down with 2 x 100 calorie snacks and…

I have been looking at the menu, and im thinking of chicken pitta with chilli jam and 1/4 avocado, with sides on regular corn and side salad. Totals 596 calories, and maybe a sangria if I have enough left over.
