  • I thought the same thing. I looked into it further and I read that checking my measurements once a month is fine. The good news is a saw movement scale wise...I lost 2 lbs so I am making progress just by doing MFP and support from all you guys. So thanks again!
  • I just looked into it. Thanks for sharing. I loved the fact she gave recipes for cleaner options  (ex: Skinny Nutella). Can't wait to try it!
  • My next calculation is fat content...lol. Thank you deb54!
  • Yes, it's one waffle. I calculated it like this 1/3cup is equal to 5 tablespoons. This is the breakdown I came up with. Please feel free to help me recalculate. 5 tablespoons (1/3 cup) of Hungry Jack Complete=160 calories but I'm only using 3 tablespoon so this means: 3 tablespoons of Hungry Jack Complete is 32 calories x…
  • I totally understand the feeling. You can still make chicken, fish and salad but with a variety of twists while still eating clean. Here's a great site for awesome healthier versions of foods we all love. http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/recipes/dinner-tonight/ Here's my favorite recipe that I now do once a month from the…
  • For me it's protein shake. I'm a college professor and I can't just go in my bag in the middle of a lecture and eat away. But what I can do is drink a protein shake. At home I add 2 scoops of EAS Lean Protein Power and half of scoop of Carnation Nonfat Dry Milk (powder). At work, I add 8 oz of cold water, shake it and…
  • You are doing so well. Don't let one day ruin all your efforts. Besides the basics of eating right, drinking enough water and having your rest days (which are important), don't forget to add multivitamins with iron solely for the active person. It happened to me then I came across an article in Oxygen magazine talking…
  • Kale, spinach, carrot, apple is my fave. And when I'm on cycle.. Dandelion leaves (diuretic), a bit of ginger (reduce inflammation), apple, pineapple (reduce inflammation) and kale (high iron content). I add dandelion leaves to help menstrual and premenstrual symptoms. The leaves are diuretic, which can relieve…
  • Weigh in once a week...first thing in the morning. It gives you a more accurate reading. For instance, I do my weigh ins first thing in the morning after my bathroom routine. I have noticed in the past that once I weigh myself during the day, there is always a couple pounds added due to water and food I've eaten.…
  • Substitute= exchange what you usually have for something healthier and less caloric. Below have been my substitute for the past year: substitute almond milk/soy/rice milk for milk * two egg whites for one whole egg *olive oil for veg oil *plain greek yogurt for sour cream * ground turkey for ground beef * coconut flour for…
  • I totally agree! This sounds to me that all it has been is a 4yr weekend booty call. Move on...
  • Have you tried one or two teaspoons of Carnation Instant Nonfat Dry Milk? Let me know how it works out for you. My mom is now using this alternative to cream....she likes it.
  • Thanks Allergygirl and David...you guys are right. I really haven't been checking the inches, just the scale lately which hasn't been moving down as I'd like. I will start on measurements and keep an eye on it. I know weight ins are done weekly but how often should measurements be done? Do you guys know? Thanks again on…
  • I would do one of two things...Either add each component separately in the food log which would be a bit tedious or just follow my motto of "Ate it, Negate it" by burning the pasta calories tomorrow via cardio/weight training. Think about it this way, you stocked up on some carbs, so might as well make it a great gym day…
