It's ansolutely the best bra if you are a D-cup and up and want to run with close to no bounce. It really keeps those puppies locked down. I've bought a wide variety from Title Nine, and The Last Resort is the most supportive sports bra I have ever found. It definitely IS NOT pretty!…

I get double meat on the 6 inch, no cheese, mayo, or sauces loaded with fat or sugar. That being said, I get Subway maybe twice a year. It's a last resort for me.

I can't believe no one mentioned ordering the chili at Wendy's. It's pretty decent, and the small has 210 calories, 6 g fat, 21 g carbs, 117 grams protein and 6 grams of fiber, a large is only 100 calories more. Very satifying!

Just like in the 60's the prevailing medical community thought smoking was healthy . . . I'm someone who questions a lot, I'm both cynical and curious.

Thank you for this idea!!!! Going to make a mushroom risotto with it this weekend. There is a local mushroom farm with many varities, all delicious.

This is something debated and researched by scientists their entire careers. I leave it to the folks with the PhD's, MD's and other people with lots of letters at the end of their name. But there is much more research available if you were to search it out beyond the two you mentioned, with some very different viewpoints.

Your gym has a stairmill?! Those are the *kitten*!!! If you want to feel like you are going to collapse and die . . . but they are amazing. There's no cheating, not like the stairmaster where you see people draping their entire bodies over the rails to make it easier. When you and stairmill get to be good friends, you'll…

Curves is a greater starter gym, but you will plateau eventually. For just starting out, and to get comfortable in a gym environment, go for it! If after awhile you want to take your fitness to the next level, you will have to join a real gym.

Muscle does not weigh more than fat!!!! A pound of fat, muscle, gumballs . . . all 16 oz. Muscle is more compact than fat. The the OP - I suspect your diet isn't in line. You can kill yourself at the gym, but you if you are eating too much you won't see progress. You need to log everything, it all counts. Every last bite,…

Try taking some Vitamin K, I really helped me with that problem.

My one beef with many of these shows is that they spend much more time emphasizing the workout portion of the weight loss process than nutrition part. I guess highlighting nutrition isn't exciting television. Even still, I do love "Heavy", "Ruby", "TBL", "Extreme Body Makeover," etc. With "Heavy" I coulnd't believe the…

Always 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 9-10 chopped raw almonds and whatever fruit is lying around. Very filling and the cottage cheese makes it creamy and delish. I've been converted over to steel-cut oats as well.

Invest in single sized tupperware, a small cooler you can keep with you and some reusable ice packs. Other easy items to make ahead/and or easily transportable: Yogurt Cottage cheese Fruit Hard boiled eggs Cut up veggies Hummus Pre-portioned nuts in ziplocs (Unless you're super disciplined and can just grab a single…

Congrats!!! I can only imagine how stressful that would be, trying to squeeze into a seat unnoticed. Big old happy dance that you don't have to worry about it! Keep up the great work, it just keeps getting better. Happy-happy!! Joy-joy!!

The very best thing you can do is devote a couple hours on the weekend to cook your own meals. Cook up big batches of chicken breasts, make big batches of tuna salad, cut up veggies, do salad prep, make soups chock full of veggies and maybe some beans. I could go on, but what do you like? Do you eat meat? Will you have…

I drink close to a gallon of cold green tea everyday. All I do is put three tea bags in a gallon container with water and let sit overnight in the fridge. I'm not sure how much I'm getting in the way of the good stuff, since it seems I'm dilutting it a lot. Hmmmm, makes me think maybe I should start adding a couple more…

I used to be that way, always using machnes to work out. Then someone pointed out the environmental impact of that choice, and encouraged me to use the outdoors for my walking/running weather-permitting. I would have never thought of it that way, but ever since I try to minimize my impact on the earth my fitness routine…

Ditto; in the vein they will recommend mastering the Olympic Lifting moves; bench, squat and deadlift. I'd recommend coupling your education on weights from bodybuilding.com with watching videos on Youtube to learn correct form. That would be if you're going to a gym. If you join a gym, if at all possble, sprng for a…

Have you checked to see if Consumer Reports has any recent articles? I always look to them when making large appliance-like purchases.

I don't think it's from boneless skinless chicken breasts either. Excess processed carbs are much more likely to be the culprit, IMO.

According to nutritionist Mary Hartley: "A woman’s basal metabolic rate rises by 5 to 10 percent during the week before the onset of menstruation. That would amount to burning 75 to 150 extra calories a day for a woman whose metabolic output measured 1500 calories. The metabolic rate returns to normal, or slightly less…
