  • The main thing that motivates my lazy butt to get moving is to be able to eat more calories. Maybe if you set him up on MFP and established that he could eat everything you packed in one bag that day with no exercise. Then add some snacks in, separately labeled with exercise he would have to do to offset eating it. He'd…
  • Thanks Pseudomuffin. That was really insightful. It may be psychology 101, but it's new to me.
  • I don't have much info, but pregnancies can cause the muscles to separate which means no amount of exercise can return your belly to the way it was. I had a tummy tuck for this reason, and the doctor somehow tied the muscles back together, tighter than they probably were originally. That was about 10 years ago after I knew…
  • As embarrassing an issue as it is, I searched to see if anyone else was reporting this problem suddenly upon "dieting" or meeting mfp's goals. I'm still eating all food groups and drinking 8+ cups of water--and the weight doesn't drop until the poop does. Gross, I know! I saw there's tea called "smooth move". Maybe I'll…
  • Let me know when you find out. (About weight tracker) thanx

  • Hello all! I'm Evelyn (with a long E sound) and I started with this site yesterday and am pretty excited about it. It's easy to do and actually allows me to eat (a certain amount) without guilt. I am currently 40, and my metabolism sure ain't what it used to be, darn it! In the last 2 years I've actually dieted twice…
  • Running helped me back when I was 20 yrs. old or so. The weight just kept falling off. Now I'm 40 yrs. old, starting this program today and hoping for similar wonderous results. We can see how it goes and keep each other motivated. At least the snow is finally melting so I can get out. Losing weight at 40 (and keeping it…
