  • Quark is readily available in the UK. A new brand has come out, in a 200g pot 140 calories and 20g protein! Yum! The smoothie sounds amazing, you had me at mango!
  • I have made the bena chilli, that was really good. Really quick to make and tasty. I also made the carrot cake which was pretty awful. I have a feeling the savory options are going to be better than the sweet ones. Maybe thats just me though, I do think if you going to have cake, have some realy cake but a smaller…
  • I am a dietitian so would be biased ;) but just seconding what others are saying. A dietitian is a protected title so you have to be have to have an appropriate degree in dietetics and be registed with the appropriate body where you practice is monitored (BDA and the HCPC in the UK, ADA in the USA etc) A nutritionist may…

  • Loved it! I literally couldn't run for more than a a few minutes before starting it. Just make sure once you finish the 5k and feel comftable, you keep going to run further and further. Agree with other, dont feel bad about repeating days. get some decent running shoes as well  such a good app!!
  • great motivator I've just signed up for my first 10k about 10 minutes ago. Just casually sitting here internally screaming "why Rachel why" but i'm looking forward to it really, hoping it will push me to run further than my current 5-6km
  • I made these but substituted the chocolate chips of chopped pecan nuts. Only because I didn't have the chocolate to throw in. They were amazing, so rich, chocolatly and moist. Worth a good go!!
  • When I did the C25k, I started on a treadmill when you do the walking/run intervals as I think I would have felt a bit stupid stopping and starting outside (just personally for me) but now I try to run as much as possible outside now I'm not doing that. Time goes so quicker, you have more distraction from nice scenery and…

  • The couch to 5k app was my knight in shining armour to get me running. I started off by doing it on the treadmill at the gym because personally, I felt like a fool stopping and starting running and walking outside. I then ran outside and I currently run mainly outside and on a treadmill at the gym. Outside is far better,…

  • Without sounding biasaed towards dietitians (as I am one!) I would suggest definetly speaking to a dietitian bwfore starting/when starting FODMAPS. It's quite a new concept and diet and as dietitians before we can talk to patients about a FODMAP diet (in the UK anyway) we have to go on a specific 2-3 days course to learn…
  • Oily fish are good sources of omega three, they can be fresh, frozen or tinned. particually mackeral, kippers, salmon, pichards and sardines. Fresh tuna is also classed as an oily fish but tinned aren't, in the tinning process they get removed. Non fishy omega 3 sources are flax seeds or flaxseed oil. I tablespoon of…
