No. There's no need to wipe down barbells unless you have sweaty hands. I have never picked up a sweaty barbell in nearly two decades of regularly lifting weights at public gyms and have not seen anyone wipe down barbells.

I drink ice water with all my meals. It's the only liquid I have with meals. Took some time getting use to, but it's old hat now. It's hard to wash down a meal on less than 12 ounces of water for me. I probably drink about 48 ounces at lunch and dinner alone.

In the two times I have done weight loss programs (this being my second) I have found that avoiding even diet soda works for me, personally. Sure, it doesn't have any calories. Yet, I found that I ate more when I drank diet soda with meals, and that when I drank diet soda in between meals, it would make my stomach growl. I…
