  • Thanks to you both for you great stories. I always like feeling less alone. I know that what I am doing now is a lifestyle choice that makes me feel a lot better about myself and that I will need to do this forever. But like others I have found things that are healthy that I CHOOSE over the higher fat and carb options. I'm…
  • Savanah - I'm 6'3" and started at 326 and am down to 313. Here's what I found...I'm 47 and it's just harder to lose now but I've decided it's not a diet. It will have to be the way I eat from now on. My goal is 20 pounds at a time. I hit my first 20 pound goal and now I'm on to the second. One word of caution...we big and…
  • It's hard. I know. I have had things like that happen to me. You are not alone. And they are not right. You are on a journey that is hard but you can do this. And DAMN, you WENT to spinning and at least you started. That is an accomplishment you should be proud of. Don't let their poor behavior stop you. You can do this.…
  • I've been focused on losing weight for about 5 weeks. I find myself weighing first thing in the morning. If it goes up a lot, I really refocus and generally it has helped me to keep myself accountable. I know many recommend 1x a week but frankly, for now, this method works for me. Best of luck.
  • I'm another newbie...been on here for about a month and have been dedicated to my health now for the same amount of time. I'm a working Mom and do love the support this community allows. Have a great day.
  • I am on this journey with you!!! I want to lose about 95 to 105 pounds. I started February 3rd. I'm down about 16 pounds. I feel good about that but realize that from here on, it will be much slower. I would love to be supportive to others and also get tips and ideas. And KUDOS to you for starting this mission!! Getting…
  • Exactly 1 year ago, I had a open compound fracture of my right ankle. I feel so limited for exercise and I am on this journey with you. Simply put, just move...Leg lifts....lift cans of veggies...arm circles...some theraband exercises. I looked up on you tube while I was bed bound for 6 months and found things that I could…
  • thanks for the encouragement! I've started to get over needing to "see" the change too quickly and now am trying to focus on just being healthier and generally feeling better
  • thanks so much. I'm on that same mission and am motivated by my little victories each week. I'm seeing a little change in pants so that is encouraging....tight pants are looser. But for now, I have it feeling it will be 30-40 pounds before I see the change myself. I appreciate your support. I read this at just the right…
  • was glad to see your post as I'm 6'3 and my first goal is to get under 300. Then I'll it out from there. Goals of 160 seem unrealistic. I get excited for each 10 mark I hit!
  • thanks. I need to find comfort in just feeling better and not worrying about the res.t thanks for the support.

  • I am a newbie...45 in the US...just over 6'3" and started at 325 on Feb. 3. As of Feb. 17 I was at 323. I got down to my goal weight 10 years ago...had a kiddo 8 years ago and just got into horrible habits. I have a long long way to go but I am seriously committed. I would love to support another 40 something in this…
